What does Knowledge Base Helper do?
Knowledge Base Helper brings all your company’s knowledge sources — Help Center, macros, website pages, product pages, and internal docs — into Zendesk.
Agents automatically see AI-recommended content for each ticket and can search all connected sources in plain natural language.
What sources can I currently add?
You can currently connect:
- Zendesk Help Center (articles)
- Zendesk Macros
- External websites (via scraping)
- Shopify product pages (via scraping)

Coming soon:
- Notion pages and documents
- Confluence spaces and pages
How many sources can I add?
On the paid plan, you can connect up to 10 sources.
Each source can include up to 500 documents (for example, the first 500 pages of your website).
The free plan allows up to 3 sources, each with 300 documents.
How does the free trial work?
Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial.
During the trial, you get unlimited access to all features and can connect up to 3 sources (300 documents per source).
No credit card is required — upgrade anytime from your dashboard.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is simple and transparent:
- $15/month for the monthly plan
- $12/month (billed annually at $144) for the annual plan

The price is the same for all team sizes — there’s no per-agent cost or usage limits.
Is the data secure?
Yes. Macha AI processes your data securely and does not store ticket content long-term.
All sources are processed transiently, and we use encrypted connections throughout indexing and retrieval.
How long does setup take?
Setup takes just a few minutes.
Once you install the app, you can connect it either from the Macha dashboard inside Zendesk or directly from the Macha widget in your agent workspace.

As soon as you connect, Macha automatically adds your Zendesk Macros and Zendesk Help Center as your first two sources — no configuration needed.
You can then log in to the dashboard anytime to add more sources like websites, Shopify products, Notion, or Confluence.
Can I request new source integrations?
Absolutely. We’re continuously expanding supported sources.
If you use tools like Confluence, Google Drive, or Slack for documentation, you can request early access by emailing support@getmacha.com.
