Employee onboarding

Employee onboarding is the mechanism through which new hires acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours in order to become effective organisational members and insiders. It refers to the period between an offer of employment and the point at which the new hire has fully integrated into their new role.

First week checklist

Effective first-week checklists focus on setup and first shipping. Day 1 covers laptop setup, communication tools such as Slack, and a 1:1 with the new hire's manager. On Day 2, the employee is introduced to an onboarding buddy and joins their first team standup. Ideally by the end of the first week, the new hire ships a small first change, presents a retro with their manager, and plans the following week.

Pinned to every tab.

  • Always one click away

The Macha icon lives in your toolbar. Click it and the panel docks next to whatever you are on.

  • Docked, not floating

The panel opens beside the page rather than on top of it, so you can work in both.

  • Follows you across tabs

Switch to another tab and the panel picks up the new context automatically.

It sees what you are looking at.

  • Reads the current page

Title, URL, and main content are picked up as context, so you never have to paste.

  • Runs when you ask it to

The panel only looks at a page after you click Macha. It is not watching your browsing.

  • Same account, same agents

Sign in once and every agent, tool, and knowledge source you have shows up in the panel.

Questions about the extension.

Everything you need to know about running Macha in your browser.

The extension pins Macha to your browser toolbar and opens a docked side panel on any page. Your Macha agents pick up the page you are on as context and help you draft, translate, look things up, or act on the page, without you leaving the tab.
No. The extension itself is free to install and use with any Macha account, including trials. You only spend credits when an agent you have built actually runs, whether from the panel, the dashboard, or a webhook trigger.
Any web page. Zendesk tickets, Shopify orders, Notion docs, Wikipedia, your internal admin. The panel picks up the title, URL, and main content of whichever tab is active, so your agents have the right context wherever you happen to be.
No. The extension reads the current page only when you click the Macha icon or open the panel on that tab. It has no content scripts and no background page-watching. When Chrome shows the install prompt, it does not warn about broad site access because there is not any.
Yes. The extension is a wrapper around your existing Macha workspace, so you sign in once inside the panel using the same account you use on dashboard.getmacha.com. Every agent, tool, and knowledge source you have shows up in the sidebar.

So far it's pretty good! Our queries are a little nuanced, so we can't always use it, but it's got enough utility for us. It can even incorporate our bilingual country with greetings in a second language.
