Best Zendesk Apps for IT and HR Teams (2026): 15 Marketplace Apps Scored
The best Zendesk apps for IT and HR teams in October 2026 are Panorama9, ConnectWise Control, AssetSonar, Endpoint Central, Zoho Assist, Okta Admin Pro, PDQ Connect, BambooHR, Onetime Secret and SweetHawk's Change Manager, which share the top tier at 8 of 10 on our five public criteria, though Okta Admin Pro's only two reviews are both one star. Zendesk's Marketplace files 107 apps under IT and HR, 104 of them from third parties, and 66 of those have no reviews at all. We scored 15 apps that put device, asset, identity or employee data on the ticket, or run an IT or HR process inside Zendesk Support, and we show every score.
Key takeaways
- Ten apps share the top tier at 8 of 10, including Panorama9, ConnectWise Control, AssetSonar, Endpoint Central, Zoho Assist, PDQ Connect, BambooHR and Change Manager.
- No ranked app earned a review point, because the three with 10 or more reviews, TeamViewer, Panorama9 and ConnectWise Control, average 3.43, 3.71 and 3.48 stars.
- Most of these apps are free to install, so the real price is the vendor's per-device, per-asset or per-employee license.
- Okta Admin Pro scores 8 on the rubric, but both of its two reviews complain that support never answered, so test it on a sandbox first.
- Apps that write fields, post comments or create tickets change what an AI agent reads on an internal IT ticket, so map them before the agent goes live.

Tiers: 8 (apps 1-10), 7 (apps 11-15). Averages are computed from the Marketplace catalog's per-star counts. Prices were read on each live listing and vendor page on October 29, 2026.
How we scored them
We started from every app in the Marketplace's IT and HR category and kept third-party apps that an internal IT or HR desk uses on the ticket itself. For the difference between the two kinds of desk, see help desk vs service desk. Developer connectors like GitHub and Jira are in our Zendesk integrations for dev teams post. Each app is scored 0 to 2 on five criteria.
| Criterion | 2 points | 1 point | 0 points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace reviews | Average 4.5+ with 50+ reviews | 4.0+ with 10+ reviews | Fewer or none |
| Published price | Full price on the listing or vendor site | A free tier or "from" price only | Contact sales |
| Works in the ticket | Acts inside the ticket or agent workspace with documented features | View-only or limited | Unclear |
| Setup effort | Marketplace install with documented self-serve setup | Needs configuration help or an onboarding call | Custom work or undocumented |
| Maintained | Listing or app updated in the last 12 months | 12 to 24 months | Older or unknown |
Ties are broken by review count, then installs. Most apps here are free to install, because the vendor's business model is the device, asset or seat license behind the app, so we score the price of that license: a full public price list scores 2, a "from" or "starting at" figure scores 1, and a quote-only page scores 0. Free apps score 2. Works in the ticket scores 2 only for apps placed in the ticket sidebar or editor, per each app's locations in the Marketplace catalog. Apps that run only from the nav bar or in the background score 1. When apps tie, we present them as a tier, and the order inside a tier isn't a quality ranking.
Two Zendesk-built apps sit outside the ranking: Show Related Tickets (1,547 reviews, 3.49 average, listing updated 12 October 2026) and Workday (listing updated 27 October 2026).
Top tier, 8 of 10: ten apps
All ten lose the reviews point and score full marks on the other four criteria.
1. Panorama9: monitoring alerts that open their own tickets, 8/10
Panorama9 creates Zendesk tickets from issues its monitoring detects and can close them once the issue is resolved. On each ticket it adds details of the desktop, laptop or server involved, associates the machine and user (including on tickets end users submit), and starts a remote control session with its own tool or with TeamViewer, RDP or VNC-based tools. Panorama9's pricing page lists Basic at $1.79 and Premium at $2.89 "per P9 Agent/Month" (its software on each machine) after a 30-day trial, with remote control in Premium and MSP pricing on request. It has 45 reviews averaging 3.71, more than any other top-tier app, and its listing was updated on 8 May 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Two of the three written reviews on the listing, both about eight years old, describe errors when connecting the two systems, and the third is Panorama9's reply, so confirm setup on a sandbox.
Best for: small IT teams that want monitoring alerts as tickets.
2. ConnectWise Control: remote sessions that leave an internal note, 8/10
ConnectWise Control creates and joins support sessions from the ticket sidebar, and Generate Public Reply fills the comment with join instructions for the guest. When the agent ends the session, ConnectWise Control adds an internal note with a session summary, optionally with the chat transcript. The catalog's pricing link now redirects to ScreenConnect's pricing page, which lists One at $30 a month for a single license, and Standard at $47 and Premium at $57 a month per concurrent technician, all billed yearly, with Enterprise on request. Its listing was updated on 14 July 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Its 23 reviews average 3.48. Two written reviews from about eight years ago ask for unattended-session support, and the newest, from almost four years ago, says, "Integration doesn't work."
Best for: teams already on ConnectWise Control who mostly run ad-hoc guest sessions.
3. AssetSonar: the requester's devices next to the ticket, 8/10
AssetSonar, from EZO, opens a sidebar panel on each ticket with the requester's assigned devices, installed software, license usage and lifecycle status, and links an asset to the ticket in one click so the asset's record in AssetSonar keeps its ticket history. EZO's AssetSonar pricing page lists ITAM at $0.75 per asset per month and ITAM with ServiceDesk at $1.08, both billed annually, with a 7-day trial per the listing. It has 7 reviews, all five stars, and was updated on 21 October 2026. Mike Chacinski wrote on the listing: "I'm not jumping between the different programs we're using to find out who has what."
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: IT teams that start every ticket by asking which laptop the requester has.
4. Endpoint Central: fix the machine without leaving Zendesk, 8/10
ManageEngine's Endpoint Central app brings remote control, remote tools, software deployment and asset scans into the Zendesk agent workspace. The pricing page starts at $1.32 per endpoint per month for Professional and runs to $2.82 for Security, and a free edition manages up to 25 endpoints. It was updated on 19 June 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Its 7 reviews average 3.14. Jerry White wrote on the listing that he expected the ticket to carry the "computer name, ip address, logged in user at the time of submission". Answering a later review about three years ago, ManageEngine said an "Auto Workstation Assignment" feature was in progress; the listing doesn't say whether it shipped.
Best for: IT teams already licensing Endpoint Central, or under 25 endpoints and willing to start free.
5. Zoho Assist Remote Support: remote sessions that write back, 8/10
Zoho Assist starts a remote support session from the ticket and, at the end, writes the session duration, notes, session key and start and end times into the ticket's comments. It can also set the ticket's status when the session ends. Zoho's pricing page lists the Zendesk integration from the Remote Support Standard edition, at US$10 per technician per month billed annually, with Professional at $15 and Enterprise at $24. These figures are from the Wayback copy of 13 October 2026. It has 6 five-star reviews and was updated on 4 September 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: small IT teams that want remote sessions documented on the ticket.
6. Okta Admin Pro: password, MFA and access fixes from the ticket, with a warning, 8/10
SaaS Aid's Okta Admin Pro lets an agent send a password reset, unlock an account, reset MFA, clear sessions, suspend or deactivate a user, and change group and app assignments from the ticket sidebar. It can log each action as an internal note. The listing offers two plans after a 5-day trial: $100 a month for the account, or $5 per agent per month. It was updated on 27 April 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Its two reviews are both one star. One, posted 20 days before we read it, says "Support is non-existent"; the other describes two unanswered messages, and SaaS Aid replied publicly that it had tried to reach the reviewer. The listing shows fewer than 5 installs. An app holding an Okta admin token deserves a sandbox test first.
Best for: desks where password and MFA resets fill the queue, after a trial.
7. PDQ Connect: deploy a package from the ticket, 8/10
PDQ's app matches the requester's email to devices in one to three PDQ tenants and shows them in the ticket sidebar, where an agent can open a remote desktop session or deploy a software package to the matched device. PDQ Connect costs $12, $18 or $28 per device per year on its Basic, Plus and Premium plans, with a 100-device minimum. Its one review, from 14 days before we read it, says "Seems to work great!" It was updated on 16 July 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: teams with 100+ devices who want software requests closed from the ticket.
8. BambooHR: who the requester is, from HR, 8/10
BambooHR's app looks up the requester's email in BambooHR and shows name, job title, department, location, work phone, manager, employment status and employee status in the ticket sidebar, with a link to the full profile. The listing says it's free for all BambooHR customers on any plan, and BambooHR's pricing page lists Core, Pro and Elite at $10, $17 and $25 per employee per month. It was updated on 8 June 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: HR desks on BambooHR.
9. Onetime Secret: send a password without leaving it in the ticket, 8/10
Onetime Secret creates an encrypted link that can be viewed once, then deleted, and inserts it into the comment. The listing says the app reads no ticket or account data. The app is free, and Onetime Secret's pricing page has a free Basic plan that includes the REST API the app needs, with paid plans for branding and single sign-on. It has no reviews and was updated on 18 June 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: IT desks that paste temporary passwords into comments.
10. Change Manager: a Change ticket type for ITIL-style requests, 8/10
SweetHawk's Change Manager adds a fifth ticket type, Change, next to Question, Incident, Problem and Task, and shows only the fields each change type needs, such as risk and backout plan, with a tag per change type. The listing marks it as a free integration, though its install note still mentions a free trial, so confirm at install. It was updated on 16 October 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: IT teams that want change requests reportable in Zendesk.
Second tier, 7 of 10: five apps
Four of these lose a point on price because the vendor shows only a starting figure or routes team plans through sales. Recurring Tickets loses it on working in the ticket, because it runs from the nav bar and in the background.
11. TeamViewer: the most-reviewed app in the category, 7/10
TeamViewer creates a remote session from the ticket and inserts the session link for the customer; when they connect, they appear in the agent's TeamViewer service queue. Setup needs a text ticket field for the session ID, and the listing says the integration needs the latest TeamViewer version or a subscription. The app is free and was updated on 6 April 2026. TeamViewer's pricing page priced single-user licenses for our region, while the US copy from 23 October 2026 told visitors to contact sales.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Its 428 reviews average 3.43, and 104 of them are one star.
Best for: teams that already license TeamViewer.
12. Recurring Tickets: scheduled work as tickets, 7/10
SweetHawk's Recurring Tickets creates tickets on a schedule, from hourly to every few decades, with any field values you set. The listing gives renewals and security audits as examples. It costs $120 a month flat after a 14-day trial, on the listing and SweetHawk's pricing page. It has one five-star review, more than 200 installs, and was updated on 17 March 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
SweetHawk's Suite ($12 per agent per month, billed annually) must cover every paid agent, so above 10 agents the flat $120 is cheaper.
Best for: IT and HR teams with recurring compliance or maintenance tasks.
13. NinjaOne: device status and a remote session, 7/10
NinjaOne's app searches NinjaOne devices by logged-on user, serial number, MAC or IP address and assigns them to the ticket, then shows the device's live status and current or last logged-in user, and starts a remote session. It was updated on 16 September 2026. NinjaOne's pricing page says it "starts as low as $1.50 USD per month at 10,000 endpoints," rising to $3.75 at 50 or fewer, and doesn't publish full pricing.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: IT teams and MSPs already on NinjaOne.
14. LogMeIn Rescue: session records written to the ticket, 7/10
LogMeIn Rescue generates a remote session from the ticket and logs it back as a private comment by default, or as a public one, and adds your tags when the session ends. The live pricing page showed no figures to us; its Wayback copy of 11 July 2026 shows Remote Device Support "starting at" $109 a month billed annually, with Rescue Enterprise on request. The app was updated on 1 September 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: support teams that need a session audit trail on every ticket.
15. Setyl: asset and license records linked to tickets, 7/10
Setyl links Zendesk tickets to assets, people and software applications in Setyl, shows those records in the ticket, and keeps the ticket history on the Setyl record. Setyl's pricing page shows "Starting from $300 per month" on each plan and asks for a quote. It was updated on 13 October 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Best for: IT teams preparing for ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits.
Apps we left out
BeyondTrust Remote Support (14 reviews), SolarWinds Service Desk (35 reviews), ScreenMeet (10 reviews), Splashtop and Hexnode MDM have listings last updated on 4 April 2025, so they'd score 1 on maintained and fall below the apps ranked here. Of the 104 third-party apps in the category, 29 have listings last updated 12 to 24 months ago. Two apps we scored missed the cut at 15: SweetHawk's Employee Onboarding (7, a nav-bar form that opens one ticket per new hire) and Oomnitza (6, quote-only pricing, 38 reviews averaging 3.71). We also left out developer connectors, apps ranked in our other roundups, and uninstallable listings.
What these apps change for an AI agent on the same tickets
These apps decide what's written on the ticket before any agent reads it. On Zendesk, Macha's tools read the ticket and its comments, custom field values and field definitions, and write status, priority, custom fields, tags, internal notes and public replies.
We check four things before an agent works these tickets. First, apps that post comments: ConnectWise Control, Zoho Assist and LogMeIn Rescue write session records into the thread, and Okta Admin Pro can log every action as an internal note. We confirm whether the agent's own replies go out as internal notes or public replies before anything runs on its own. Second, apps that own fields, like Change Manager and TeamViewer's session ID field. We read the field definitions so the agent doesn't overwrite a field an app maintains (see custom fields and AI agents). Third, apps that create tickets, like Panorama9 and Recurring Tickets. A new ticket can match the agent's trigger, so we use the tag-and-exclude pattern: the trigger adds a tag when it fires and excludes that tag from its conditions. Fourth, the categories in past tickets: password resets and access requests need a person or an app like Okta Admin Pro, not an agent guessing.
Then we replay past tickets in a simulation.
Where AI fits
Macha runs AI agents inside the Zendesk account you already have, set up and monitored by the Macha team. It fits internal IT and HR desks on Zendesk that want routine how-to questions answered inside the ticket, while admin tools like Okta Admin Pro stay with people. Pricing starts at $299/month for 750 tickets, with a trial of $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Which one fits your situation?
- Agents ask "which laptop is this?" on every ticket: AssetSonar, or PDQ Connect or NinjaOne if you already run them for device management.
- You need to see the screen: Zoho Assist from $10 per technician, ConnectWise Control for ad-hoc sessions with a note on the ticket, Endpoint Central if you also want patching and deployment, TeamViewer or LogMeIn Rescue if you already license them.
- Password and MFA resets dominate: Okta Admin Pro, after a trial and a support test.
- HR answers employee questions in Zendesk: BambooHR.
- Monitoring alerts should become tickets: Panorama9.
- Credentials get pasted into tickets: Onetime Secret.
- Change requests need structure and an audit trail: Change Manager, plus Recurring Tickets for scheduled reviews.
FAQs
What are the best Zendesk apps for IT teams?
On our rubric, Panorama9, ConnectWise Control, AssetSonar, Endpoint Central, Zoho Assist, Okta Admin Pro, PDQ Connect, Onetime Secret and Change Manager are the IT apps in the top tier at 8 of 10. Okta Admin Pro reaches that tier on price, placement, setup and updates, but both of its reviews are one star, so trial it first. TeamViewer, Recurring Tickets, NinjaOne, LogMeIn Rescue and Setyl follow on 7.
Is there a Zendesk app for HR teams?
Yes. BambooHR's free app shows the requester's employee record in the ticket sidebar, SweetHawk's Employee Onboarding, which scored 7 and just missed our list, creates one ticket per new hire, and Zendesk's own Workday app shows Workday data on the ticket.

How we researched this
On October 29, 2026 we queried the Zendesk Marketplace catalog (1,812 apps) for the IT and HR category's 107 apps, from 81 third-party vendors, 12 of their apps with 10 or more reviews. We read all 107 listings on zendesk.co.uk the same day in a rendered browser and used each listing's "Last updated" date, and we checked each ranked vendor's pricing page, using only plans the catalog marks as active. Zoho Assist's and LogMeIn Rescue's prices come from Wayback Machine copies, as their entries say. We didn't install or test any app or contact any vendor, and one reviewer applied the scores to public pages only.
Disclosure: Macha makes AI agents that run inside help desks. Nobody paid to be listed, and Macha is not ranked here.
