Best Zendesk Contact Center and Phone Apps (2026): 16 Marketplace Apps Scored
The best Zendesk contact center and phone apps in October 2026 are Dialpad and Aircall, which share the top tier at 9 of 10 on our five public criteria, followed by a second tier of five apps on 8: RingEX by RingCentral, Genesys Cloud, CloudTalk, JustCall and the Talkdesk Connector. Zendesk's Marketplace files 177 apps under Contact Center, 175 of them from third parties, and 128 of those third-party apps have no reviews. We scored 16 Zendesk phone integration apps that connect an outside phone system or contact center platform to Zendesk Support, and we show every score.
Key takeaways
- Dialpad and Aircall form the top tier at 9 of 10; both sit in the ticket sidebar, publish per-user prices and were updated in 2026.
- No app scored 10, because the only ranked app with 50 or more reviews and a 4.5 average, 55PBX, publishes no prices.
- Business phone vendors here list entry seats at $15 to $30 per user a month and contact center platforms at $69 to $105, but Dialpad's Zendesk app starts on its $25 Pro plan, so check which plan includes Zendesk.
- Nearly every app here plugs into Zendesk through Talk Partner Edition, which Zendesk includes on its Suite plans; the listings are free, and the bill comes from the phone vendor.
- Phone apps create a ticket per call or voicemail, so an AI agent working the same queue needs triggers that recognize call tickets before it replies to anything.

Tiers: 9 (apps 1-2), 8 (apps 3-7), 7 (apps 8-12), 6 (apps 13-15), 5 (app 16). Averages are computed from the Marketplace catalog's per-star counts. Prices are list prices from each vendor's pricing page, read on October 30, 2026, on annual billing where the page offers a choice.
How phone apps connect to Zendesk
Almost every app on this list rides on the same piece of Zendesk plumbing. Talk Partner Edition, in Zendesk's words, "allows you to choose your own call center software and integrate it with Zendesk's omnichannel solution." Its API can create a ticket and show it to an agent, and call data lands in the Standard Call Object (reportable in Explore) or a voice comment on the ticket. The Customer Service Suite includes it from the Team plan up.
That's why 108 of the 177 listings mention it. The apps differ in where the dialer sits and when a ticket opens.
Every listing below also says "Free integration" and "Additional fees may apply." The vendor earns on seats and minutes, so the app is how it wins a team that already pays for Zendesk, and its incentive is to make the integration good enough to close the seat sale, and no further. Aircall's listing says more than 500 Zendesk customers use it; Five9's claims more than 250 joint customers.

How we scored them
We started from every app in the Marketplace's Contact Center category and ranked third-party apps that connect an outside phone system or contact center platform to Zendesk Support, have 5 or more reviews or 100 or more installs, and were updated in the last 12 months. JustCall, with 1 review and more than 50 installs, is the one exception we added, because it publishes per-user prices and runs in the ticket sidebar.
Left out by type: AI add-ons (Call Insights & Summary by Pluno, Stylo Voice AI), transcription apps (Supportscribe Talk Transcription, 3Scribe Transcription), video meeting apps (Zoom Meetings by Faye, Ring4 Meeting), utilities (Smart iFrame, Zuper Mobile Workforce Management), Aircall for Sell, and RingCentral's carrier editions (BT Cloud Work, AT&T Office@Hand). Left out by the line: GoTo Integrations, which has 119 installs but a listing last updated in April 2025; Frontline Agent Console for CXone, with 4 reviews and 32 installs; Switchvox for Zendesk, with 2 reviews and an April 2025 update; and RingCentral RingCX, Webex Contact Center, CXone Agent, CallWe, Atende Simples, Telavox, Maqsam, Bright Pattern's Omni-channel Cloud Contact Center, Diabolocom CTI for Support, ZIWO, Vonage Contact Center, Whatsapp Sender, 3CX integration by OAPPS and CloudAgent, each with one review or none and under 100 installs. The other 131 listings have one review or none and fewer than 25 installs.
| Criterion | 2 points | 1 point | 0 points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace reviews | Average 4.5+ with 50+ reviews | 4.0+ with 10+ reviews | Fewer or none |
| Published price | Full price on the listing or vendor site | A free tier or "from" price only | Contact sales |
| Works in the ticket | Acts inside the ticket or agent workspace with documented features | View-only or limited | Unclear |
| Setup effort | Marketplace install with documented self-serve setup | Needs configuration help or an onboarding call | Custom work or undocumented |
| Maintained | Listing or app updated in the last 12 months | 12 to 24 months | Older or unknown |
Price is scored from the vendor's own page, since every listing is free. Works in the ticket scores 2 only for ticket sidebar or editor apps. Setup scores the Zendesk side. Maintained uses the listing's "Last updated" date. Ties go to more reviews, then installs; order inside a tier says nothing about quality.
Zendesk's own Zendesk for Contact Center app sits outside the ranking. Its listing describes a voice product built on Amazon Connect at "$50 per seat per month" and was updated on October 29, 2026.
Top tier, 9 of 10: Dialpad and Aircall
1. Dialpad: a softphone that turns calls and voicemails into tickets, 9/10

2. Aircall for Support: a ticket for every call, 9/10
Aircall shows the caller's contact page, creates a ticket when a call is answered, and syncs Aircall tags to Zendesk, where they can fire a trigger. The pricing page lists Essentials at $30 and Professional at $50 per license a month billed annually, from three licenses, with Enterprise custom and Zendesk on every plan. It has 40 reviews averaging 4.83, more than 1,000 installs, the most here, and a September 30, 2026 update.

The written reviews are old. Sean Morrissey wrote more than six years ago that the app "Has its issues and no updates since 2016."
4. Genesys Cloud: screen pops and logs for a full contact center, 8/10
The Genesys app screen-pops a Zendesk ticket or user profile on a Genesys Cloud call, can open a ticket automatically, and writes interaction logs back as comments and custom field values. Genesys lists Genesys Cloud CX 1, for voice, at $75 per user a month, rising to $240 for CX 4, on an annual commitment. You need "a configured Genesys Cloud organization" first. It has 11 reviews averaging 3.55 and a February 10, 2026 update. Our comparison of Five9, Genesys and Talkdesk covers the platforms.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
5. CloudTalk for Support: structured call tickets with AI insights, 8/10
CloudTalk logs every call, missed call, voicemail and SMS as a ticket with direction, duration, agent and recording link, and with its Conversation Intelligence add-on writes a summary, sentiment and topics into the ticket. Its pricing page lists $25, $29 and $49 per user a month billed annually, with helpdesk integrations on the $29 and $49 plans. Ten reviews average 4.90; the listing was updated on May 30, 2026.

It sits in the top bar, so it scores 1 on working in the ticket.
6. JustCall for Support: a dialer next to the ticket, 8/10
JustCall puts its dialer next to tickets and contacts, logs calls and texts, and can turn unknown callers into contacts; playable recordings need Talk Partner Edition. Its pricing page lists $29, $49 and $89 per user a month billed annually, from two licenses. The listing, updated March 17, 2026, has one review, more than six years old: "This app helped us setup our call centre in UAE. Earlier we tried using Talk and found that Zendesk doesn't provide numbers in UAE." Zendesk's number list may have changed since.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
7. Talkdesk Connector: Talkdesk's agent workspace inside Zendesk, 8/10
The Talkdesk Connector brings Talkdesk's agent workspace into Zendesk: click-to-call, ticket screen pops, linking calls to existing tickets, call and note logging, and automations that create or update tickets on contact center events. Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Third tier, 7 of 10: five apps
8. 55PBX Softphone PABX Virtual: Brazil's best-reviewed phone app, 7/10

It has 92 reviews averaging 4.91, the only 2 on reviews here, and a February 12, 2026 update. Its plans page returned a 404; the July 2026 archived copy shows three plans with quote buttons and no figures. 9. Exotel Telephony App: calls, SMS and missed-call tickets, 7/10
UMS Tech Labs built this app for Exotel, whose site serves India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Africa and APAC. Agents call from the ticket sidebar, send template SMS, and get tickets for missed and after-hours calls. Exotel's contact center pricing shows $70 for XPrime and $100 for XPro with no billing unit and a Talk to Sales button, so it scores 1 on price. Its 21 reviews average 3.95, and it was updated on July 16, 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.

Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
One reviewer wrote, about five years ago: "Installation is easy and it worked fine, but after some time tickets stopped creating in Zendesk for unknown reason." Zadarma's reply to a similar review points to Talk Partner Edition.
11. Ringover: calls, texts and WhatsApp synced to tickets, 7/10
Ringover embeds its dialer in Zendesk and syncs phone, SMS and WhatsApp interactions into tickets, with AI summaries from a conversation-intelligence add-on. Its pricing page lists $19, $49 and $69 per user a month on a 12-month commitment, from three users. The install notes require a "Power plan," a name the pricing page no longer uses, so ask which plan includes Zendesk. One review, more than 100 installs, updated January 28, 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
12. Zoom Contact Center: voice, video and chat logged to Zendesk, 7/10

pluscloud, which calls itself a Premier Solution Provider of Zendesk on the listing, built this app for Wildix phones: calls from the browser, desk phones or mobile, transfers, caller lookup, linking calls to tickets, and recording playback in the comment. It needs Wildix UC Premium with the WebAPI on. Nine five-star reviews and an update on March 11, 2026 put it here. The listing also pitches pluscloud's Zendesk consulting.
Scores: reviews 0, price 0, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
14. VoiceManagement: Axialys's French contact center, 6/10
VoiceManagement connects Axialys's cloud call center with click-to-dial, a new ticket on each incoming call matched by caller ID or IVR data, and call history with recordings. The install has "no specific configuration," but needs an Axialys subscription, priced by custom quote ("Devis sur-mesure"). Last updated October 28, 2026, it carries 5 reviews averaging 3.80.
Scores: reviews 0, price 0, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
15. Five9 Cloud Contact Center for Support: a full workspace sold by quote, 6/10

Its pricing page offers quotes only, and one listing line says agents can "Handle interactions directly within the Salesforce interface," copy that looks carried over from another marketplace. The listing, updated April 2, 2026, shows more than 100 installs and no reviews.
Scores: reviews 0, price 0, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
What phone apps change for an AI agent on the same tickets
Phone apps decide how many tickets exist and what's on them, so we look at them first when a Zendesk account with a phone integration connects to Macha. Macha's agents read the ticket, its comments, field values, field definitions and attachments, and write status, priority, fields, tags, internal notes and public replies.
We check four things before an agent goes live:
- Tickets created per call: Aircall, Dialpad, RingEX, CloudTalk, Exotel and VoiceManagement can open a ticket for every call or voicemail. We narrow the agent's trigger with exact conditions, such as a tag the phone app sets, and add the tag-and-exclude pattern: the trigger adds a unique tag and excludes it from its own conditions.
- Tags the phone app writes: Aircall syncs its call tags to Zendesk. We write the agent's instructions around them.
- Fields an app owns: Genesys maps call attributes into Zendesk fields. We read the field definitions so the agent doesn't overwrite them (see custom fields and AI agents).
- Who the requester is: some apps create a contact from an unknown caller number, so we confirm whether the agent's reply posts as an internal note or a public reply before it runs on its own.
Then we review the categories in past tickets, call tickets included, and replay them in a simulation. On high-volume triggers we watch for warning messages after launch. Our explainer on Zendesk triggers covers the conditions.
Where AI fits
Macha runs AI agents inside the Zendesk account you already have, set up and monitored by the Macha team. On call tickets, an agent can read what the phone app wrote and leave an internal note for whoever calls back. It fits teams already running Zendesk who want routine follow-up handled inside the ticket while the phone system stays the same. Pricing starts at $299/month for 750 tickets, with a trial of $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Which one fits your situation?
- A phone system with prices on the page and a ticket per call: Aircall or Dialpad.
- The company already runs RingCentral, Zoom, Wildix or 8x8: the matching app.
- A full contact center on Genesys, Talkdesk or Five9: that vendor's app; Five9 sells by quote.
- Call summaries written into the ticket: CloudTalk or Ringover with their AI add-ons.
- Customers in Brazil: 55PBX. India or the Gulf: Exotel.
- A small team on a tight budget: Zadarma's bundles.
FAQs
What are the best phone apps for Zendesk?
On our rubric, Dialpad and Aircall share the top tier at 9 of 10. RingEX by RingCentral, Genesys Cloud, CloudTalk, JustCall and the Talkdesk Connector form the second tier at 8.
Do I need Zendesk Talk to use a third-party phone app?
Most apps here need Talk Partner Edition rather than Zendesk Talk's own phone service. Zendesk's Talk Partner Edition article says it's included on the Customer Service Suite's Team, Growth, Professional, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus plans.
How much does a Zendesk phone integration cost?
The apps are free to install, and the cost is the phone vendor's seat. On published prices that's $25 to $89 per user a month for business phone systems such as Dialpad, Aircall, RingEX, JustCall and Ringover (Dialpad's Zendesk app needs its $25 Pro plan or Enterprise, and RingCentral lists CRM integrations from its $25 Advanced plan), and $69 to $240 for contact center platforms such as Zoom, Talkdesk and Genesys. Check which plan includes Zendesk before you compare.

How we researched this
On October 30, 2026 we queried the Zendesk Marketplace catalog of 1,812 apps for the Contact Center category: 177 apps, 175 from third parties across 141 vendors, of which 9 have 10 or more reviews and 128 have none.
We read all 16 listings on zendesk.co.uk the same day in a rendered browser, and each vendor's pricing page; for 55PBX we used the Wayback Machine copy from July 5, 2026. Averages come from the catalog's per-star counts, placement from its app locations. We didn't install or test any app or contact any vendor.
All prices were published in US dollars and are shown as listed.
Disclosure: Macha makes AI agents that run inside help desks. Nobody paid to be listed, and Macha is not ranked here.
