Avoca AI doesn't publish a price, a plan list or a per-call rate, and on September 19, 2026 we found no listing for it on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Marketplace or Vendr either. The only numbers in circulation, about $1,000 to $3,500 a month and "per-minute" billing, come from competitors' blogs that don't say where they got them. This guide shows exactly where every Avoca figure comes from, what the company's own disclosures imply, what published alternatives cost at 300, 1,200 and 4,000 calls a month, and what to ask for when you book the demo that is the only route to a quote.

Key takeaways

  • Avoca AI publishes no price list, and its /pricing page returned a 404 as of September 19, 2026, so buyers only get a quote after booking a demo.
  • Competitor blog ServiceAgent estimates Avoca AI costs $1,000 to $3,000 a month for a mid-market operator and $2,500 to $3,500 a month for a $20 million revenue business, with no cited source.
  • Avoca's April 27, 2026 funding announcement disclosed more than $125 million raised at a $1 billion valuation, led by Meritech and General Catalyst for the Series B.
  • At 1,200 calls a month, published rivals Goodcall and Claudessa cost $479 and $362.50 while Smith.ai's list price tops out at $2,270, all far below competitor estimates for Avoca.
  • Avoca's own blog puts the cost of an in-house receptionist at $30,000 to $45,000 a year, or $2,500 to $3,750 a month, as the benchmark its sales team compares against.

Where every Avoca price on the internet comes from

Search "avoca ai pricing" and Google's AI Overview answers with "$1,000 to $3,500+ per month" and "per-minute" billing. We traced each figure on the first page of results:

SourceWho publishes itFigureStated basis
ServiceAgent (updated June 2026)Competitor, sells AI answering to trades$1,000–$3,000/mo for ~$5M revenue, 6 CSRs, ~1,200 calls; $2,500–$3,500/mo for $20M revenue, 15+ CSRs; "Billing is per-minute""Independent estimates, based on what operators have shared publicly and what the product is designed to support"

Claudessa (August 2026)Competitor, $29/month AI receptionistNo figure; checked avoca.ai/pricing and got a 404n/a
Avoca's own blog (July 23, 2025)AvocaIndustry ranges only ($0.90–$1.50 a minute, $0.75–$1.50 a call for answering services); no Avoca pricen/a
ServiceAgent's Avoca estimate: $1,000–$3,000 mid-market, $2,500–$3,500 enterprise, "Billing is per-minute"
ServiceAgent's Avoca estimate: $1,000–$3,000 mid-market, $2,500–$3,500 enterprise, "Billing is per-minute"

Every number traces back to one competitor's unsourced estimate, repeated by another competitor and then by Google. It may be right. Treat it as a claim to test in the demo, and don't budget against the per-minute claim until Avoca confirms the unit in writing.

What Avoca's own disclosures imply

Avoca has published two numbers that bound the average contract, even without a price list. Its April 27, 2026 funding announcement says: "In 2025, the company surpassed eight figures in annual recurring revenue." The homepage says it's "Trusted by 1,000+" service leaders.

If both sat exactly at their floors, $10 million of annual revenue across 1,000 customers is $10,000 a customer a year, about $830 a month. Neither number is exact, they're from different dates (2025 revenue, a 2026 customer count), and an average hides a spread between single-location shops and customers like 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and Turnpoint that the release names. It's an order of magnitude. It lands just below the bottom of the competitors' $1,000–$3,500 band.

The same announcement puts total funding at "more than $125 million across Seed, Series A, and Series B funding at a $1 billion valuation," with Meritech and General Catalyst leading the Series B and Kleiner Perkins the Series A. Avoca's homepage banner shortens that to "$125M Series B." A company with that much capital and a sales-led motion has little reason to publish a price that would anchor its negotiations.

Avoca's own blog gives one more benchmark: it puts an in-house receptionist at "$30,000–$45,000/year," which is $2,500 to $3,750 a month. The competitor estimates put Avoca at 40% to 140% of that, which is the comparison its sales team is likely to draw.

What drives an Avoca quote

With no rate card, the cost drivers come from the product itself. These are the ones to raise in the demo:

  • Call volume and the billing unit. Ask whether you pay per minute, per call, per booked job or a flat platform fee, and what happens in a storm week when inbound doubles. If it's per minute, ask for your last 12 months of call minutes to be priced, not an average month.
  • Modules. The homepage lists AI CSR, Simple Scheduler, Web Chat, Speed-to-Lead, Outbound Campaigns, Google LSA, Coach and Analytics. Ask which are in the base price and which are add-ons, especially outbound SMS campaigns, which need 10DLC messaging registration according to its help center.
  • Seats for Coach. Coach scores every call, AI or human, and managers and agents are invited with roles and mapped to ServiceTitan agents. Ask whether Coach is priced per CSR.
  • Integration depth. Avoca is a certified ServiceTitan app and its help center also documents Housecall Pro, Google Calendar, Google Local Services Ads and Yelp connections. Ask whether setup, catalog mapping and ServiceTitan write-back carry a one-time fee.
  • Contract length. No term is published. Ask for month-to-month, and if the discount requires 12 months, ask what the exit terms are if booking rates don't hold.
Avoca help center: Edit Holiday dialog with Emergency Only Booking and $300 holiday fees

The fee and holiday rules are worth seeing in the demo because they're where the product earns its price: the AI quotes a $300 Independence Day fee or member rates because someone configured them. The more of your pricing logic you load, the more it replaces a CSR's judgment and the easier the quote is to justify.

What published alternatives cost at three volumes

We can't compute an Avoca bill, so we priced three AI answering services that do publish prices, at three home-service volumes: 300 calls a month (a single-location shop), 1,200 (ServiceAgent's own mid-market example) and 4,000 (a multi-location operator). We assumed 80% of calls come from unique callers, which matters for Goodcall's unit. Prices are from each vendor's page on September 19, 2026.

ServiceAgent sizes its bands by revenue and CSR count, not calls, so placing them at 1,200 and 4,000 calls is our mapping. Smith.ai's rows above 1,000 calls are list-price overage, the most you'd pay before its custom quote; both of its pricing tables are in our Smith.ai guide.

Claudessa AI receptionist: Starter $29 for 50 calls, After-Hours Plus $149 for 200, then $0.29 a call

The spread is wide, and it isn't only price. Goodcall and Claudessa are general AI receptionists; Claudessa's pricing page doesn't mention a ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro integration. Smith.ai adds a live-agent network for $3 an escalation. Avoca sells ServiceTitan-native booking against real technician capacity, configured fee rules and call coaching for human CSRs, to operators whose named customers run dozens of locations. If the competitor estimates hold, a 1,200-call shop pays Avoca two to six times Goodcall's $479 for that depth. Whether it's worth it depends on how many booked jobs the integration adds, which Avoca's case studies claim is a lot and nobody independent has measured.

What the pricing model rewards

Sales-led, unpublished pricing gives the vendor an incentive to price each account on the value it expects to create for that account. A 20-location HVAC group that books $30 million a year and a two-truck plumber with the same call volume can pay very different amounts. That favors Avoca with large operators and costs the buyer comparability; you can't check a quote against a list.

If the per-minute claim is right, the bill rises when calls run long, including hold time and callers who ramble. That's the opposite of Smith.ai's per-call model, which Smith.ai itself argues keeps the vendor from profiting on call length. A per-minute vendor also earns most in the weeks a trades business is busiest, so model your peak month (the July heat wave, the January freeze), not your average.

Ask in the demo whether any part of the price is tied to booked jobs. Avoca's announcement leads with "on track to book $1 billion in jobs this year," and a vendor that measures itself on bookings may be willing to price on them.

Who should skip the demo

Avoca's case studies and named customers are multi-location operators with CSR teams and ServiceTitan. If you run a one- or two-truck business, take fewer than a few hundred calls a month or don't use ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro, the published options above cost $100 to $500 a month at that size and you can start them today. If your call volume and CSR headcount look like ServiceAgent's mid-market example, the demo is worth an hour, as long as you bring your call data and leave with a written quote and billing unit.

Where Macha fits

Avoca answers the phone for trades businesses. Macha answers tickets: it's an AI agent layer on the help desk you already run (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom) for email and chat support, from $299 a month for 750 tickets, about $0.40 a ticket, with setup and monitoring by the Macha team (pricing). It fits teams at a service business whose customer emails, warranty questions and chat pile up in a help desk, alongside whatever answers the phones. Our overview of AI agents for customer service covers how the two channels split, and our My AI Front Desk guide covers another phone-first option.

How we researched this

On September 19, 2026 we checked avoca.ai, its /pricing and /plans paths (both 404), the full index of Avoca's help center, its funding announcement, and marketplace searches for "avoca" on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud in a browser, plus Vendr and the ServiceTitan Marketplace. We traced every Avoca price on the first page of Google to its publisher. We checked G2 directly this time: an "Avoca AI" listing now exists but has 0 reviews and no rating, as of September 19, 2026. We didn't book a demo or create an account, so we have no quote of our own, and the alternative costs are our arithmetic on published prices at volumes we chose.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Avoca AI cost? Avoca doesn't publish a price. The only estimates, $1,000 to $3,000 a month for a mid-market operator and $2,500 to $3,500 for a $20-million-revenue business, come from ServiceAgent, a competitor, with no named source. You get a real number only by booking a demo.

Does Avoca AI have a pricing page? No. avoca.ai/pricing returns a 404 as of September 19, 2026, and the site's calls to action are "Book a Demo" and "Talk to our AI."

Is Avoca AI billed per minute? Avoca hasn't said. Competitor blogs say it bills per minute of AI conversation, but none cites a source. Ask for the billing unit in writing, and have your peak month priced.

Is Avoca AI on AWS Marketplace? No. We found no Avoca AI listing on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Marketplace, and no Vendr page with contract data, as of September 19, 2026. Its ServiceTitan Marketplace listing carried no price when we checked.

Does Avoca offer a free trial? No self-serve trial is published. You can call a demo line from the homepage to hear the AI, but setup goes through a sales demo.

Is Avoca AI legit? Yes. Avoca is a certified ServiceTitan app, announced more than $125 million in funding at a $1 billion valuation on April 27, 2026, and says it passed eight figures of annual recurring revenue in 2025. Salary and Glassdoor searches are about working there, not its prices.

What does Avoca AI cost compared with Smith.ai or Goodcall? At 1,200 calls a month, Goodcall's published price works out to $479, Claudessa's to $362.50 and Smith.ai's list price to at most $2,270. The competitor estimate for Avoca at that size is $1,000 to $3,000.

What should I ask for in an Avoca demo? The billing unit, which modules are included, whether Coach is priced per CSR, any setup or ServiceTitan integration fee, the contract length and exit terms, and a quote priced on your own 12 months of call data.

Macha doesn't answer phones, but if your customer email and chat queue lives in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom, start a Macha trial with $50 of free usage, or see the tiers on our pricing page.
