Gorgias's agency directory lists 46 partners based in Canada, but only one holds the Services Certified badge and only three have any directory reviews. We scored the four Elite, Premier and Services Certified listings plus 12 others whose profiles describe support work, on the same five criteria as our global ranking. In Social in Toronto scored highest with 6 of 10, as the only Canadian firm that publishes a setup price and runs Gorgias for clients with its own support team. Gravitas, Acumen & Co in Montreal and Tidal Commerce in Richmond Hill follow on 4. No Canadian firm describes building and tuning Gorgias's own AI Agent.

Key takeaways

  • In Social in Toronto ranks first in Canada with 6 of 10, for its Services Certified badge, a published setup fee and a North American support team.
  • Only 3 of the 46 Canadian listings have a directory review, and In Social holds 2 of the 4 reviews in the country.
  • The two Elite agencies, iamota and Retailogists, are Shopify build firms that score 3 and 2, because neither describes Gorgias support work in detail.
  • No Canadian partner says it builds and tunes Gorgias's AI Agent, so for AI Agent work our global ranking lists firms elsewhere that do.

Badges, cities and review counts come from each directory profile. "Not published" means we found no figure on the profile or the pages of the agency's site we read. Four more firms on 1 point are in the table further down.

How we ranked them

We started from every listing in Gorgias's agency directory based in Canada, 46 in all: 15 in Toronto, 10 in Vancouver, 10 in Montreal and 11 elsewhere, from Victoria to Quebec City. Two carry an Elite badge, one Premier, one Partner and Services Certified, and 42 plain Partner. We read all 46 profiles to see which services each one ticks. 32 tick Gorgias Implementation and Optimization, and 9 tick Customer Support Outsourcing. Most of the rest are Shopify build shops and ad agencies.

We scored all four Elite, Premier and Services Certified listings, then the 12 Partner listings whose profile describes support or customer service work, or that tick outsourcing, support strategy or Help Center Optimization alongside implementation. We left out Interstice Consulting in Ottawa, which ticks those boxes while its profile says the client takes the lead on customer service. We check each firm for a parent company; none here belongs to a global systems integrator.

The rubric is the one from our global ranking of Gorgias implementation partners, word for word, so scores mean the same thing on both pages. None of the 17 agencies ranked there is based in Canada, so every score here is new. Each criterion gets 0, 1 or 2 points.

Ties are broken by review count; agencies with equal reviews are listed alphabetically, as in the global ranking. Badges come from the directory's own tier field, never from a badge image an agency uploads. An AI agent named only loosely, without tying it to Gorgias, counts as AI in general terms. An agency's own AI scores 2 when its profile or site says it works tickets in Gorgias and is tuned, as omnie's does in the global ranking. Outsourced agents alone count as a loosely scoped follow-up. Review text doesn't change the other four scores. The scoring rewards what a buyer can check before a sales call. It doesn't measure the quality of anyone's work, which only references and a pilot will tell you.

Which Gorgias partners in Canada do help-desk work?

1. In Social: the only certified firm, with a setup price on the page, 6/10

In Social, in Toronto, is a full-service marketing agency that also runs customer service for clients, and it's the only Canadian listing with the Services Certified badge. It ticks 16 services in the directory, from onboarding to Help Center Optimization. Its online customer service page lists Gorgias among its tools and publishes prices: a "Customer Service Setup" at "$500-$1000/one time", which covers process documentation and "installing and configuring your customer service software tool of choice", then ongoing support at "$25/hr to the minute" on weekdays and $30 an hour after hours. The page doesn't say whether those are US or Canadian dollars; in Canadian dollars they'd be about $360 to $710 for setup and about $18 and $21 an hour. The homepage says the site hasn't been updated since 2018, so confirm the price before you budget. The same page says its reps are based in Canada. One of its two directory reviews, posted more than five years ago, says: "Their knowledge of the Gorgias platform is far beyond what our entire team could learn." Neither page describes AI work.

Scores: standing 2, AI work 0, price or timeline 2, after launch 1, reviews 1.

Who runs it: Jess Grossman, founder and CEO, per In Social's homepage.

Best for: a small Canadian Shopify brand that wants Gorgias set up and a part-time support team behind it, billed by the minute.

2. Gravitas, Acumen & Co: a CX outsourcer that adds AI in three phases, 4/10

Gravitas, Acumen & Co, in Montreal, calls itself an "AI workers cooperative" and says on its profile that it was founded by former SSENSE managers. It handles claims for lost or damaged orders, escalations, email and chat support, quality monitoring and "CX Technology Migration (e.g., from Zendesk to Gorgias)". Its AI plan runs in three phases: its team works tickets by hand first, then it brings in AI for low-risk processes, aiming at 15 to 20% of cases without a person, then scales to "50-70% resolution without human involvement". The profile doesn't name the AI it uses or say it's Gorgias's AI Agent, and those percentages come before anyone has seen your tickets. Its business model is outsourced work, so ask how it splits tickets between its AI and its paid agents. It lists English, French, Mandarin and Spanish and a budget bracket of $5,000 and up. We found no website.

Who runs it: Leadership isn't named on its profile, and we found no site.

Best for: a fashion or consumer brand that wants outsourced support and a staged move to AI from one firm, in English or French.

3. Tidal Commerce: managed services for the whole commerce stack, 4/10

Tidal Commerce, in Richmond Hill near Toronto, is a Shopify Plus engineering firm that its profile says was founded in Toronto in 2019. Its capabilities page lists "Customer service platform implementation" among 18 kinds of implementation, and a Commerce Managed Services line with "proactive monitoring, dynamic SLAs", 24/7 emergency support and a ticketing system for client requests. It ticks Customer Support Outsourcing in the directory and talks about finding and automating "process friction points", but names no AI agent work. The footer reads "An Umbrella-Incorporated company"; Umbrella is a Canadian group of service firms, not a global integrator, so Tidal stays ranked. Its budget bracket is $5,000 and up.

Who runs it: Dennis Gorya, founder and CEO, per LinkedIn. The site doesn't name its leaders.

Best for: a mid-market or enterprise brand that wants Gorgias implemented as part of a wider Shopify Plus, POS and ERP program, with an SLA after launch.

4. Emma42: Shopify developers with one short review, 3/10

Emma42, in Montreal, describes itself on its profile as "a team of Shopify developers" with "specializations in Design, Development, & Support". It ticks onboarding, implementation and Customer Support Strategy, with budgets up to $2,000. That's the whole description. Its one review, posted more than four years ago, reads in full: "Thank you Emma42, the best agency!" The review gives it a point and puts it ahead of the Elite iamota on the tie rule. We couldn't confirm its website; emma42.com belongs to a different marketing firm.

Who runs it: Leadership isn't named on its profile, and we couldn't confirm its site.

Best for: a small Shopify store that wants a low-budget Gorgias install and will ask for references first.

5. iamota: an Elite Shopify Plus agency that works on retainers, 3/10

iamota, in Vancouver, holds an Elite badge and calls itself "a boutique Shopify Platinum Service Partner" on its about page, with a remote team across Canada serving merchants "typically" doing "$10M-$200M+ in revenue". Its profile lists Dollar Shave Club, Herschel Supply Co. and Zwift among the brands it has supported, and "Agentic readiness" among its specialties. The work it describes is migrations, headless-to-headed rebuilds and "ongoing retained CRO services", with "AI-assisted analysis" behind its Commerce Intelligence approach. It ticks Gorgias Implementation and Optimization, but neither its profile nor its site describes help-desk setup. The Elite badge shows the depth of its Gorgias relationship, most likely through the Shopify Plus brands it brings, not support work we could read.

Who runs it: Pete Smyth, CEO, per LinkedIn.

Best for: a large subscription or multi-brand merchant moving to Shopify Plus that wants Gorgias connected as part of the build.

6. Novatize: customer service and chatbots in a Quebec agency's menu, 2/10

Novatize, in Quebec City, says on its homepage that it has delivered 300+ projects since 2014 with 50 teammates, and it lists Gorgias among its technology partners. Its customer service page covers live chat, self-service FAQs, returns tools such as Loop Returns, and "ticketing systems for better tracking", and says it integrates "smart chatbots to handle FAQs while escalating complex issues to your team". Its AI page adds AI search, recommendations and content. Neither page names Gorgias's AI Agent or says what happens after launch. It works in English and French.

Scores: standing 1, AI work 1, price or timeline 0, after launch 0, reviews 0.

Who runs it: François-Jérôme Gosselin, CEO and partner, per Novatize's homepage.

Best for: a Quebec B2B or B2C company that wants customer service tools set up as part of a larger French-and-English commerce project.

7. Retailogists: an Elite retail consultancy that lists AI agent setup, 2/10

Retailogists holds an Elite badge and lists Toronto on its profile, though its site footer reads "Montreal-CAN". Its services page has a "Support & Retention" block: "AI-powered customer service agent setup", "Customer support escalation and ticket automation" and "Customer satisfaction and NPS tracking setup". That's the most direct AI line in the Canadian pool, but the page doesn't name a tool or mention Gorgias, so it counts as AI in general terms and scores 1. Most of the site is about retail strategy, POS rollouts and data engineering, with Aldo among its case studies. It ticks 15 services in the directory and works in English and French.

Who runs it: Vincent Younan, co-founder, per LinkedIn.

Best for: a retailer with stores and a Shopify site that wants POS, operations and a first AI support agent scoped by one consultancy. Ask which AI it sets up.

8. Concert 8 Solutions: offshore support staff, 1/10

Concert 8 Solutions, in Vancouver, says on its profile that it specializes in "staffing for customer service, tech support and back office support", and its homepage sells "Affordable Offshore Staffing", including live chat support. It ticks Gorgias Onboarding and Customer Support Strategy but not Implementation and Optimization, so it gets no standing point. Outsourced agents earn it the after-launch point.

Best for: a brand that already has Gorgias configured and only needs people to work the queue.

9 to 12. Shopify and Magento agencies that touch support, 1/10 each

DigitalJAS (Montreal, Partner) is a Shopify Platinum agency, per its homepage, that says it has migrated over 60 merchants to Shopify. It ticks 16 directory services, Customer Support Outsourcing and Help Center Optimization among them, but its site describes migrations, B2B, POS and app perks, not help-desk work. Its profile names Jamie Schreter as chief consultant. Scores 1, 0, 0, 0, 0.

MageMontreal (Montreal, Premier Partner) builds stores on Adobe Commerce (Magento), and Magento 2 is the only platform its profile ticks. It ticks Gorgias Onboarding but not Implementation and Optimization. An April 2026 archived copy of its homepage (the live site blocked our browser) offers rescue projects and a managed stack, which we count as a loosely scoped follow-up. Guillaume Le Tual is CEO and founder, per LinkedIn. Scores 0, 0, 0, 1, 0.

What the badges tell you in Canada

The Elite badge is a weak signal here. iamota and Retailogists are both Elite, and both are Shopify Plus and retail build firms; MageMontreal, the only Premier listing, works on Magento and doesn't tick Implementation and Optimization. Gorgias doesn't publish what earns each tier, and its partner program pays partners a revenue share on the customers they bring. An agency that recommends Gorgias on every Shopify Plus build can climb the tiers without configuring a rule. That's the incentive behind the badge, and it rewards selling Gorgias more than servicing it.

Services Certified means more, and Canada has one, In Social. Our global ranking found that the certification courses Gorgias required didn't include AI Agent, so the badge doesn't show AI skill either.

Reviews are almost absent. In Social has 2, Emma42 1 and The Run Digital 1, which we didn't score because it builds websites. In the global ranking, Springboard alone has 105.

Working with a Gorgias partner in Canada

Language. This is where Canadian firms earn their place. Novatize, Retailogists, DigitalJAS, Domani., Maze and Gravitas, Acumen & Co all list French alongside English. If you sell in Quebec, ask who writes and reviews macros, Help Center articles and any AI guidance in French, because an agent tuned in English won't automatically answer well in French.

Time zones. Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and Richmond Hill firms work on Eastern time; iamota, Concert 8 and Teifi on Pacific; Iceberg Commerce on Mountain. Gorgias's company information page lists Toronto among its nine offices, alongside New York and San Francisco.

Data location. Gorgias's privacy notice says it may "process and store personal information both inside the United States and overseas" and transfer data to the US and other countries for customers outside the US. It doesn't mention Canada-specific hosting. If your privacy lead needs a contractual answer, ask Gorgias directly; a partner can't change where the data sits. An outsourcer adds its own staff and processing terms, and Concert 8's homepage says its staffing is offshore.

Pricing. Gorgias's company information page lists AI Agent at $0.90 per AI-resolved conversation on annual billing and $1.00 on monthly, in US dollars. Among the Canadian firms, only In Social publishes a figure, and its page doesn't name the currency. Everyone else quotes after a call.

Platforms. Gorgias's AI Agent needs a connected Shopify store. If you're on Magento or BigCommerce, as MageMontreal's clients are, read our guide to Gorgias for non-Shopify stores before you pay anyone for AI Agent work.

Looking beyond Canada. The directory's Canada region filter returned 137 implementers in our global count on October 14, 2026, more than four times the 32 implementers based here, because many US firms tick Canada. Several in our global ranking publish AI Agent scopes and prices that no Canadian firm does, and some work in North American hours. Sibling rankings for the UK, Australia and mainland Europe are on the way.

What we check before an AI agent goes live on a partner-built Gorgias account

An AI agent works inside whatever rules, tags and fields the agency left behind, so we read that setup before writing the agent's instructions.

Rules that fire on the agent's own writes. An agent that tags a ticket or adds a note can set off a rule that hands the ticket straight back to it. We add a unique tag when the agent's trigger fires, exclude that tag from the trigger's own conditions, and version the tag when the logic changes.

The fields the agent reads and fills. We list which custom field values the agent needs to read and which fields it should set, so its writes land where the partner's routing expects them.

Internal note or public reply. We confirm which one the agent writes before it runs on its own, and we test its trigger by creating a ticket that matches.

Refunds. With Shopify connected, an agent can refund an order after a confirmation step, but the refund covers everything still refundable on the order. Partial refunds stay with a person, so a macro that promises one needs a human step.

Past tickets. Before go-live we replay past tickets against the agent in a simulation, and the AI Knowledge Builder turns historical tickets into knowledge base articles.

When you don't need an agency at all

An agency earns its fee on migrations, Views, Rules and SLAs, multi-store setups and outsourced agents. If Gorgias already runs the way you want and the only new piece is an AI agent, there's a third route: an AI vendor whose own team builds and tunes its agent on top of your Gorgias.

Macha is that kind of vendor, and it's our product. It isn't a Gorgias partner and isn't ranked above. On the done-for-you route, our team reads about a month of your past tickets, builds the agent for the first category and runs it in safe mode, where drafts land as Gorgias internal notes until your team approves them. It costs about $0.40 per ticket, from $299/month for 750 tickets, with setup and a success manager included, and the trial is $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit. Macha runs on Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom; the Macha on Gorgias page shows how it sits inside the ticket. It's the wrong fit if you need a migration or a Gorgias rebuild; hire an agency for that, and keep two AI agents on separate channels or tags so they never answer the same ticket. Our Gorgias AI Agent explainer covers what your own admin can set up before you hire anyone.

FAQs

Who is the best Gorgias partner in Canada?

In Social in Toronto scored highest on our five criteria with 6 of 10, for its Services Certified badge, a published setup fee and an ongoing support team. Gravitas, Acumen & Co and Tidal Commerce follow on 4. None of the three describes setting up Gorgias's own AI Agent; for that, see our global ranking.

Are there Gorgias Services Certified partners in Canada?

One, when we read the directory on October 29, 2026: In Social in Toronto, with a Partner and Services Certified badge. The two Elite agencies, iamota in Vancouver and Retailogists in Toronto, aren't certified.

Is there a French-speaking Gorgias partner in Quebec?

Yes. Novatize in Quebec City and five other scored firms list French on their profiles: Retailogists, DigitalJAS, Domani., Maze and Gravitas, Acumen & Co. Of those, Gravitas, Acumen & Co and Novatize describe the most customer service work.

How do I find a Gorgias partner in Canada?

Open Gorgias's directory at agencies.gorgias.com, set Location/Region to Canada, and tick Gorgias Implementation and Optimization under Services. That filter includes agencies based elsewhere that serve Canada. Then read each agency's own site for a scope, a price and an after-launch plan, because the directory shows none of them.

<div class="docs-callout"><div><p class="docs-callout-title">Are you listed here?</p><p class="docs-callout-body">Partners and app makers can send corrections with a public source to [email protected]. We fix facts within a week. Scores follow the rubric above, not requests.</p></div></div>

How we researched this

On October 29, 2026 we took every listing in Gorgias's agency directory based in Canada, from the public search the directory page itself calls, with each listing's badge, review count and description. On October 30 we read all 46 profiles in a real browser, so we could see which services each one ticks, and then read the agency sites linked above. MageMontreal's site blocked our browser, so we read an archived copy from April 3, 2026. We found no site for Gravitas, Acumen & Co, Domani., Emma42, Smarte Digital or Maze, so those are scored from their profiles.

Gorgias facts come from its privacy notice, its company information page and its partner program page. Prices are shown in US dollars where the source names a currency. In Social's page doesn't, so its figures appear as published, with a Canadian-dollar reading converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of October 29, 2026. Quotes from directory reviews are copied word for word with their age. The rubric and tie rule are copied from our global Gorgias ranking. "Who runs it" lines come from each agency's own site or profile where it names its leaders; where it doesn't, we used MoltSets and QuickEnrich, two B2B people databases, and marked the name "per LinkedIn". The scores are ours, applied by one reviewer to public pages only. We didn't contact, hire or test any agency, and none paid for placement. For every help desk, see our cross-desk partner ranking.

Disclosure: Macha makes AI agents that run inside the help desks support teams already use. Nobody paid to be listed here, and Macha isn't ranked.
