Best Gorgias Subscription Apps (2026): 9 App Store Apps Scored
No Gorgias subscription app scores 10 of 10 on our five public criteria in October 2026. Skio and Subrise form the top tier on 9, with Skio listed first on Shopify review count, and Recharge, Subscriptions by Loop, Easy Subscriptions, Stay Ai and Awtomic form the tier on 8. Recharge, the category's other Preferred Partner, sits in the 8 tier because its Gorgias page dates from June 2024. The Gorgias App Store's Subscriptions category lists 12 apps, 9 of them subscription platforms. Gorgias publishes no reviews, so we scored partner status, price, ticket actions, setup and update dates, and we show every score.
Key takeaways
- Skio and Subrise share the top tier on 9 of 10. Skio's sidebar is the only one that applies discounts and updates payment methods, with prebuilt macros; Subrise logs every agent action to the ticket.
- Seven of the nine apps let an agent skip, pause or cancel a subscription from the Gorgias sidebar; Easy Subscriptions and Utterbond document no actions.
- Loop's help center says its Gorgias integration needs the $399 Pro plan, while Loop's pricing table lists Gorgias under Enterprise only, so confirm the plan before you sign.
- Gorgias's own AI Agent has prebuilt skip and cancel actions for Recharge, Loop and Skio, and all three hand shoppers with more than one subscription to a person.

ARPU (6), which sells Recharge self-service links and sits in the Loyalty & Retention category, is covered after the nine entries. Everything was read on October 29 and 30, 2026.
How we scored them
We started from the Gorgias App Store's Subscriptions category, saved on October 29, 2026. It lists 12 apps. We kept the 9 subscription platforms and left out Monkedo (automation), PreProduct (pre-orders) and Next Commerce, a store platform whose Gorgias article covers customers and orders but no subscription data. Our roundup of Gorgias integrations covers the wider App Store. Each app scores 0 to 2 on five criteria.
| Criterion | 2 points | 1 point | 0 points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace standing | Built-for or partner badge, or featured | Listed with docs | Listing only |
| Published price | Full price on the listing or vendor site | A free tier or "from" price only | Contact sales |
| Works in the ticket | Acts inside the ticket or agent workspace with documented features | View-only or limited | Unclear |
| Setup effort | Marketplace install with documented self-serve setup | Needs configuration help or an onboarding call | Custom work or undocumented |
| Maintained | Listing or app updated in the last 12 months | 12 to 24 months | Older or unknown |
Every app here is a connector to a subscription platform you pay for separately, so price scores the platform's own pricing page. A widget scores 2 for the ticket only when the agent can change the subscription from the Gorgias sidebar; display scores 1. Maintenance uses the listing's own publish and modify dates, read from its structured data; where a vendor's help article about the Gorgias integration is newer, we say so, but it doesn't change the score. Gorgias's help center shows a rolling "Updated" label on nearly every partner article, so we didn't count it.
Gorgias's own route sits outside the ranking. Its AI Agent has prebuilt actions for Recharge, Loop and Skio. The Loop article says AI Agent can "skip, cancel, pause or resume a subscription in Loop if the shopper has a single subscription," and the Skio and Recharge articles set the same limit.
The 9 apps, ranked
Apps on the same score form one tier, ordered inside it by Shopify App Store review count (Shopify ratings never change a score): 9 (ranks 1 and 2), 8 (3 to 7), 7 (8) and 3 (9).
1. Skio: the widest action list in the sidebar, 9/10
Skio carries a Preferred Partner badge and installs from the Gorgias App Store with an OAuth approval. Its Gorgias guide, published February 6, 2026, shows a subscriber summary (active, canceled, failed and paused counts), then one block per subscription with next billing date, frequency, products and price. From each block an agent can cancel, skip the next order, process it now, apply a discount code or update the payment method. Skio also pre-populates macros for canceling, skipping and payment updates, and warns that macros must target the right subscription when a shopper has several.
Scores: standing 2, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 1.
Skio's pricing page lists Scale at $499 a month billed annually or $599 month to month, plus 1% + 20¢ on orders involving a subscription, and a custom Enterprise plan. The Gorgias listing knocks $100 off for life, to $399 or $499. Skio's Shopify listing now reads "Skio, a Recharge Company" and rates 5.0 from 244 reviews. One reviewer, Humantra UAE, wrote in May 2026, about six months ago: "We have jumped from 2% to 22% cancellation deflections due to their clever multi-step cancel flows." The Gorgias listing itself was last modified in February 2025, between 12 and 24 months ago, which sets the maintenance score; Skio's newer guide doesn't change it.
Best for: brands that want agents to fix payment failures and cancellations from one panel.
2. Subrise Subscriptions: an audit trail on every action, 9/10
Subrise has the newest listing in the category, published October 5, 2026. Its widget shows each subscription's status, products, price, frequency, next billing date and order history, pulled live. Agents can skip, pause, resume or cancel, with a required cancellation reason, or send a portal link. The listing says "Every action is logged to the ticket conversation and attributed to the agent in Subrise's activity log, with built-in protection against accidental double-clicks." Its setup guide is an OAuth approval from either side, with no API keys.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Subrise's pricing page lists Launch at $75 a month with a 1% transaction fee, Accelerate at $199 with 0.9%, and Enterprise at $399 with 0.8%, and the listing says the Gorgias integration costs nothing extra. That pricing page still marks "Integration with Gorgias" as "Coming Soon!", three weeks after the listing went live. Subrise rates 5.0 from 4 reviews on Shopify, so its track record is short.
Best for: smaller brands that want cancellation reasons and an action log from day one.
3. Recharge: the Preferred Partner on an old page, 8/10
Recharge is the category's other Preferred Partner and the app most Gorgias stores already run. Its Gorgias article covers a sidebar widget where agents cancel, reactivate or skip a subscription and refund orders first processed through Recharge checkout. Macro variables pull fields such as the next charge date into replies, and cancellation macros record a reason. Setup is an App Store connect followed by a Shopify login. Our Recharge setup guide has the steps.
Scores: standing 2, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
The listing URL now redirects to a Gorgias marketing page dated June 26, 2024, which costs Recharge the maintenance points. That page, published more than two years ago, quotes Brittany, Customer Success Manager at Doggie Lawn: "Our error rate has reduced drastically since we started working with Gorgias & Recharge." Recharge's pricing page lists Starter at $99 a month plus 1.49% + 19¢ per transaction, Plus at $499 plus 1.34% + 19¢, and Custom on request. It rates 4.8 from 3,149 reviews on Shopify, the most in this list.
Best for: stores that want Gorgias's own AI Agent to handle skips and cancels, since Recharge has the longest list of prebuilt actions.
4. Subscriptions by Loop: the most actions without a badge, 8/10
Loop's Gorgias article, dated November 6, 2025, connects from both sides with no API key and puts a widget in the sidebar when subscription data exists for the customer. Agents can skip or place an order, pause, resume, reactivate or cancel, pick a cancellation reason configured in Loop, and send login and payment-update links.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 1.
Loop's pricing page lists Starter at $99 a month plus 1.0% per transaction, Pro at $399 plus 0.75%, Enterprise on request, and a free plan up to 50 active subscriptions. The plan question is the catch. The help article says "Gorgias integration is available exclusively on the Loop Pro plan," but the pricing table lists "Gorgias, Zendesk, Postscript, Attentive and more" as included on Enterprise only. The Gorgias listing still quotes older plan names (Growth at $99, Enterprise at $399) and a month free, and was last modified in July 2025, which costs Loop a maintenance point despite the newer help article. Loop rates 5.0 from 802 reviews on Shopify. Our guide to what an AI agent can do in Loop Subscriptions covers its API.
Best for: brands that want pause and resume as well as skip and cancel.
5. Easy Subscriptions App: a free plan and a display-only widget, 8/10
Easy Subscriptions is the only platform here that charges no transaction percentage on any plan, and its free Starter plan covers 100 lifetime subscription orders. Its Gorgias article has you connect from the App Store, then finish under Settings, App Integration, Gorgias in the Shopify app, after which Gorgias creates an HTTP integration and a sidebar widget with the customer's subscription data. Neither the article nor the listing names an action an agent can take, beyond saying agents can "view, manage, and resolve subscription-related inquiries."
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
The pricing page lists Starter at $0, Growth at $39, Scale at $99 and Enterprise at $399 a month, and says "All plans, including the free Starter plan, have 0% transaction fees." It doesn't say which plan includes Gorgias. The listing was published in January 2026. It rates 5.0 from 224 reviews on Shopify and carries the Built for Shopify badge.
Best for: stores that want no percentage fee and only need agents to see the plan.
6. Stay Ai: the four status buttons, older listing, 8/10
Stay Ai, formerly Retextion, installs from the Gorgias App Store with an authorization inside Stay Ai. Gorgias's article says agents use the widget's buttons to cancel, pause, skip the next order or reactivate, and that the cancel and reactivate changes apply in both Stay Ai and Shopify. The listing's own documentation link, on Retextion's old help domain, now redirects to a 404.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 1.
Stay Ai's pricing page lists Standard at $299 a month on an annual contract plus 1% + 19¢ per transaction, or $499 a month with no contract, and High Growth at custom pricing. The Gorgias listing offers partner pricing by email only. The listing was modified in July 2025. Stay Ai rates 4.9 from 148 reviews on Shopify.
Best for: brands that want churn analytics and onboarding help along with the status buttons.
7. Awtomic Subscriptions: four status actions, priced on its own site, 8/10
Awtomic sells subscriptions, build-a-box bundles and memberships, and its listing names wine clubs and specialty foods. Setup starts in the Gorgias App Store and finishes by authorizing Gorgias inside Awtomic's Shopify app, per its Gorgias guide, whose page metadata shows an update on October 8, 2026. The sidebar widget shows key subscription details and lets agents skip the next order, cancel, pause or reactivate, and the change shows in Shopify too.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 1.
Awtomic's pricing page lists Professional at $299 a month plus 1% per order, or $249 a month on a one-year minimum, with a 14-day trial, and names Gorgias among the plan's integrations. The Gorgias listing still says "Starting at $99/mo + 1% & 19¢ /order" and dates from April 2025, which sets the maintenance score. It rates 5.0 from 36 reviews on Shopify.
Best for: build-a-box and club brands that need status changes in the ticket.
8. Smartrr: the right actions, a two-year-old listing, 7/10
Smartrr's Gorgias guide connects from Smartrr's Integrations tab with your Gorgias domain, with a manual HTTP integration and access token as the fallback. The widget shows each subscription's status, plan, next billing date and products, and agents can skip the next order, pause, unpause, set the next billing date or cancel. The guide says "Any actions taken from the Smartrr widget will be added to the ticket history in Gorgias," and that the auto-generated buttons only cover a customer's most recent subscriptions.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
The Gorgias listing says to contact Smartrr, but Smartrr's pricing page lists Launch at $99, Grow at $299 and Excel from $499 a month, each plus 1% of subscriber GMV, and its comparison table puts Gorgias in Grow and Excel. The listing dates from October 4, 2024, just over 24 months back. Smartrr rates 4.9 from 71 reviews on Shopify.
Best for: brands that change billing dates often, since Smartrr is the only widget here with a set-date button.
9. Utterbond Subscriptions: a display widget with private docs, 3/10
Utterbond's listing promises a widget that shows "all the subscription details of the customer without any other tools" and names no actions. Its documentation link is a Google Doc that asks for a sign-in, and Utterbond's site blocked our reader and a real browser, so we couldn't read the setup steps or the pricing page.
Scores: standing 1, price 1, works in the ticket 1, setup 0, maintained 0.
The listing quotes "From $19/month" and was published in May 2024.
Best for: Utterbond merchants who only need the plan in view.
Also scored: ARPU (6)
ARPU scored 6: standing 1, price 1, ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0. It isn't a subscription platform. It generates no-login links for Recharge subscribers to delay, ship now, swap a variant or add a product, and its Gorgias guide adds a widget and macros that drop those links into a reply. The listing says "Plans start at $45 per month," with $0.06 per active subscriber. It sits in Gorgias's Loyalty & Retention category, its listing dates from March 2024, and its guide from July 2023.
What the subscription platform charges, at the same volume
Every platform here except Easy Subscriptions takes a percentage, so the monthly fee is only part of the bill. At 1,000 subscription orders a month averaging $50 ($50,000 in subscription revenue), and before payment processing:
| Platform and plan | Fixed fee | Variable fee | Monthly total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subrise Accelerate | $199 | 0.9% = $450 | $649 |
| Loop Pro | $399 | 0.75% = $375 | $774 |
| Awtomic Professional | $299 | 1% = $500 | $799 |
| Smartrr Grow | $299 | 1% = $500 | $799 |
| Stay Ai Standard (annual) | $299 | 1% + 19¢ = $690 | $989 |
| Recharge Starter | $99 | 1.49% + 19¢ = $935 | $1,034 |
| Skio Scale (annual) | $499 | 1% + 20¢ = $700 | $1,199 |
Easy Subscriptions charges no percentage at all, so its Scale plan stays at $99. The percentage is the business model. A platform paid on subscription revenue earns more from every subscriber an agent talks out of canceling, which is why cancel flows, retention offers and skip buttons get built first, and why most of these vendors keep their help-desk integrations on a higher plan.
What a subscription app changes for an AI agent on the same Gorgias tickets
Macha reads and writes the same Gorgias tickets your team does, so the subscription app decides how we set up an agent on "skip my next box" and "cancel me" tickets.
We check four things. First, which actions the platform's API exposes. Recharge's API has no pause endpoint, for example, so a pause means moving the next charge date; our subscription apps comparison goes vendor by vendor. Second, which plan the store is on, because Loop's API needs the Pro plan and the vendor can gate it further. Third, how the agent reaches the app. Apps with an API are reached through custom API tools that Macha's team sets up during onboarding and keeps monitoring. Fourth, which tickets the subscription app or its widget writes itself, such as Subrise's action log or Smartrr's ticket-history entries, so the agent's trigger doesn't answer a system note as if a shopper wrote it. Macha starts in safe mode with drafts posted as internal notes, built from your past Gorgias tickets, so we confirm those notes don't set off a widget refresh or a rule.
Where AI fits
The apps above give a person buttons. What's left is deciding which button, for which of a shopper's three subscriptions, and saying it well.
Macha runs AI agents inside the Gorgias account you already have, set up and monitored by the Macha team. It fits teams already on Gorgias whose subscription tickets mix skips and cancellations with order and shipping questions, and whose platform has an API the agent can reach. Pricing starts at $299/month for 750 tickets, with a trial of $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit. If your tickets are mostly single-subscription skips on Recharge, Loop or Skio, switch on Gorgias AI Agent's prebuilt actions first. Our guides to automating subscription questions in Gorgias and what an AI agent can do in Skio compare the routes.
Which one fits your situation?
- Agents should fix payment failures from the ticket: Skio, the only widget here with a payment-method update and a discount button.
- You want pause and resume, not just skip and cancel: Loop, Awtomic or Subrise.
- You want an audit trail on every agent action: Subrise or Smartrr.
- You'd rather pay no percentage: Easy Subscriptions, if agents only need to see the plan.
- Gorgias's own AI Agent should do the work: Recharge, despite its score.
FAQs
What is the best subscription app for Gorgias?
On our rubric, no app scores 10. Skio and Subrise form the top tier on 9, with Skio listed first on Shopify review count. Recharge, Subscriptions by Loop, Easy Subscriptions, Stay Ai and Awtomic form the 8 tier.
Can Gorgias agents cancel a Recharge subscription from the ticket?
Yes. Gorgias's Recharge article covers Cancel, Skip and reactivate buttons in the sidebar widget, plus refunds on orders first processed through Recharge checkout. Gorgias AI Agent can also skip and cancel for shoppers with a single subscription.
Are Gorgias subscription integrations free?
The connector usually is. You pay for the platform behind it: from $99 a month plus 1.49% + 19¢ with Recharge, $299 plus 1% with Awtomic, or $499 plus 1% + 20¢ with Skio on an annual plan. Easy Subscriptions has a $0 plan, though neither its pricing page nor its Gorgias article says which plan includes Gorgias. Loop's free plan doesn't include the integration, which needs Pro at $399 a month per Loop's help center, or Enterprise per its pricing table.

How we researched this
On October 29, 2026 we saved the Gorgias App Store's Subscriptions category page: 12 apps, two with a partner badge (Recharge and Skio, both Preferred) and none in the Featured collection. We kept the 9 subscription platforms and read each listing on October 30, including its structured-data dates, along with each Gorgias setup article and each vendor's pricing page. ARPU has a Gorgias listing but sits in Loyalty & Retention, so we scored it outside the ranking.
Utterbond's site answered 403 to our reader and to a real browser, and the Wayback Machine wasn't reachable when we tried, so its pricing comes from its Gorgias listing alone. Shopify App Store review counts were read the same day and only order apps within a tier. Subrise's and Skio's pricing pages print "$" without a currency code; we read them as US dollars. We didn't install or test any app or contact any vendor.
Prices are shown in US dollars; prices published in other currencies were converted at European Central Bank reference rates of October 29, 2026.
Disclosure: Macha makes AI agents that run inside help desks, including Gorgias. Nobody paid to be listed, and Macha is not ranked here.
