Best Freshdesk Productivity Apps (2026): 36 Marketplace Apps Scored
The best Freshdesk productivity apps in October 2026 are a tier of six that each score 8 out of 10 on our five public criteria: Taroo's URL Hyperlink Pro, which sits first on rating count, then Value Hider, Print Tickets PDF Pro, Audio Video Attachments, Contract Manager Pro and Dropdown Option Hider. The Freshworks Marketplace files 230 Freshdesk apps under Productivity, Utility & Workflows, and 112 of them have no ratings. We scored 36 third-party utilities that agents or admins use inside Freshdesk, wrote up 13 and show every score.
Key takeaways
- Six apps share the top score of 8 out of 10, and URL Hyperlink Pro sits first in that tier only because it has the most ratings, 3.
- Only two of the 36 apps earn a point for ratings, because just two pass 4.0 with 10 or more reviews: Email Template Management and Attachments Manager.
- Paid apps here cost $0.60 to $10 per agent a month, or $5 to $99 per account a month, so a team of 20 pays more for a $1 per-agent app than for a $10 per-account one.
- Apps that write notes, swap attachments for links or hide field options change what an AI agent sees on the same ticket, so check them before an agent goes live.

Tiers: 8 (apps 1-6), 7 (apps 7-11). Apps 13 and 28 score lower but get a write-up as the only reply-template and attachment-search apps here. The other scored apps are in a table further down. Ratings were read on each live listing on October 30, 2026.
How we scored them
From the Productivity, Utility & Workflows category we kept third-party apps with a named publisher whose main job is a utility inside Freshdesk. Ticket-lifecycle automation (scheduling, reopening, merging, recurring tickets) is in our ticketing automation roundup, so those apps aren't re-ranked here. Connectors to other work tools, telephony and video apps, AI-first apps and apps built by Freshworks are left out too; the connectors most teams want are in our Freshdesk Marketplace picks. Each app is scored 0 to 2 on five criteria.
| Criterion | 2 points | 1 point | 0 points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace reviews | Average 4.5+ with 50+ reviews | 4.0+ with 10+ reviews | Fewer or none |
| Published price | Full price on the listing or vendor site | A free tier or "from" price only | Contact sales |
| Works in the ticket | Acts inside the ticket or agent workspace with documented features | View-only or limited | Unclear |
| Setup effort | Marketplace install with documented self-serve setup | Needs configuration help or an onboarding call | Custom work or undocumented |
| Maintained | Listing or app updated in the last 12 months | 12 to 24 months | Older or unknown |
We read reviews against the two-decimal average on each listing. Free apps score 2 on price, and a "starts from" price scores 1. Works in the ticket scores 2 only when the listing places the app on the ticket page, in the sidebar or in the reply editor. Setup scores 2 when the listing has installation instructions or links to setup steps, and 1 for a Marketplace install with no setup steps. A free app that needs a paid account elsewhere is scored on that vendor's pricing. Ties are broken by rating count, then installs, then name.
Freshworks' own apps sit outside the ranking because they're the obvious default. Set Ticket Field Options customizes dropdown options by ticket field values and has 424 ratings and 2,009 installs, and Dynamic Signature has 181 ratings and 1,291 installs. Both are free.
Top score, 8 of 10: six apps
These six tie. Rating count, then installs, sets the order, not quality. None has more than three ratings, so the tier rests on price, placement, setup steps and recent updates more than on user evidence.
1. URL Hyperlink Pro: links and live data built from ticket fields, 8/10
Taroo's URL Hyperlink Pro builds links from ticket and contact fields, such as the ticket ID or requester email, into your CRM, billing or logistics tools. It can also call an outside REST API with an ID from the ticket and show the result in the ticket or contact view, grouped into sections you name. It costs $3 per agent per month after a 21-day trial. It has 3 ratings averaging 3.67 and 4 installs, and was updated in January 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Xavier Jeunejean (1 star, January 2025) wrote: "I have tried the app but it does not display anything after configuration". Taroo replied asking him to contact support. That review predates the January 2026 update.
Best for: agents who copy an order or account ID into three other tabs per ticket.
2. Value Hider: fewer dropdown options on ticket pages, 8/10
identifyyou technologies' Value Hider hides chosen options in dropdown and dependent dropdown fields, at any level of a dependent field, on both the new ticket page and the ticket details page. It's priced per account, at $10 a month after a 21-day trial. It has no ratings and 24 installs, and was last published in November 2025.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
The listing describes rules per field, not per agent. If you need rules by agent, see Dropdown Option Hider at #6. Our guide to Freshdesk ticket fields and forms covers what the native settings already do.
Best for: retiring old dropdown values without deleting them from past tickets.
3. Print Tickets PDF Pro: templated PDFs, in bulk, 8/10
Falcon Saas' Print Tickets PDF Pro prints a ticket to PDF from the sidebar using templates you design, and from its dashboard exports up to 10 tickets at once as one combined PDF or a ZIP. It costs $0.99 per agent per month after a 21-day trial. It has no ratings, 2 installs and an update on October 22, 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Falcon Saas has four apps in the top two tiers, all updated in 2026 and all priced per agent or account. The vendor's incentive is to sell small apps one at a time, so check what you'd pay across the set before you buy two.
Best for: teams that send ticket histories to auditors, insurers or warranty partners.
4. Audio Video Attachments: recordings in both directions, 8/10
Taroo's Audio Video Attachments sends a customer a single-use link to record their screen, audio or video in a browser; the recording lands in the ticket as a private note with a player. Agents can also record from the sidebar composer and send it as an attachment. Links expire after 1 to 24 hours, set by an admin. It costs $1 per agent per month after a 21-day trial, has no ratings and 1 install, and was updated in June 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
The listing says uploads go to temporary Azure storage and are deleted once attached, and that its AVA feature writes the reply that carries the link.
Best for: product teams that lose days to "can you send a screenshot?"
5. Contract Manager Pro: contract hours logged from the ticket, 8/10
Falcon Saas' Contract Manager Pro maps contracts to companies and agents, sends threshold alerts by email, and reports utilization. Agents log hours from a ticket sidebar widget, with per-contract permissions for time logging and reports. It's priced per account, at $19.99 a month after a 21-day trial. It was published on October 26, 2026 and has no ratings or installs yet.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
It's four days old on our research date, so the score says the listing is complete, not that the app is proven.
Best for: support teams that sell blocks of hours to business customers.
6. Dropdown Option Hider: dropdown options by agent, 8/10
EasyCX's Dropdown Option Hider hides chosen values in Status, Priority, Type, Group, Agent, Product and supported custom dropdowns for selected agents, on ticket and new-ticket pages. Setup loads your agents, groups and fields. It costs $1.09 per agent per month after a 21-day trial, has no ratings or installs yet, and was published in July 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Against Value Hider, the arithmetic is simple: at $1.09 per agent, a team of 10 or more pays more for this than for Value Hider's $10 per account. You pay that for per-agent rules.
Best for: stopping junior agents from picking statuses or groups meant for leads.
Second tier, 7 of 10: five apps
7. Print Ticket PDF: branded ticket PDFs from templates, 7/10
MorfDev's Print Ticket PDF builds PDF templates from any ticket field, custom fields included, with separate customer-facing (no private notes) and agent versions, a preview mode and date and page formats. A manual on GitHub covers the templates. It costs $1 per agent per month after a 21-day trial. It has 8 ratings averaging 3.62 and 25 installs, and was updated in January 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
The listing doesn't say where agents print from, so it scores 1 on working in the ticket. Its newest review, from August 2026, gives 3 stars and calls it too slow for regular use.
Best for: customer-facing PDFs that must leave private notes out.
8. External Link: a shared link list in the sidebar, 7/10
Spritle Software's External Link gives admins one place to add, edit and remove links, and puts the list in the ticket sidebar with search. Placeholders such as the ticket ID fill in per ticket. It works in Freshdesk and Freshchat, is free, and has 2 ratings averaging 5.0 and 115 installs. It was updated in March 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 1, maintained 2.
It does the simple half of URL Hyperlink Pro's job without the API calls, and it costs nothing. There's no installation instructions tab, so it scores 1 on setup; expect to work out the admin screen yourself.
Best for: teams that keep internal docs and tools in a bookmarks file today.
9. Attachments Preview Pro: open files without downloading, 7/10
Falcon Saas' Attachments Preview Pro previews ticket attachments from the sidebar: images, video, audio, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, TXT and JSON. Setup asks for your domain and API key and how many attachments to show per page. It starts from $1 per agent per month after a 21-day trial. It has 1 rating, 8 installs and an update on October 7, 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
The listing shows only a "starts from" price, so it scores 1 on price.
Best for: agents who open customer screenshots and documents all day.
10. CalendarGuard: availability that follows your calendar, 7/10
CalendarGuard, published by Sandy, reads a published iCal feed from Google Calendar or Outlook, spots out-of-office events and updates the agent's Freshdesk availability when one starts. It's free, has no ratings and 2 installs, and was published in August 2026. Setup steps and limits are on the developer's own page.
Scores: reviews 0, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
It works on availability, not tickets, so it scores 1 there. It matters most for teams that assign tickets automatically.
Best for: teams using automatic assignment with people who forget to change their status.
11. PDF Preview Pro: search inside PDFs from the sidebar, 7/10
Falcon Saas' PDF Preview Pro opens PDF attachments in the sidebar with zoom and text search. It starts from $1 per agent per month after a 21-day trial. It has no ratings and 1 install, and was updated in March 2026.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Attachments Preview Pro covers PDFs plus 24 other formats at the same $1, so buy this one only if search inside the PDF matters to you.
Best for: teams handling long contracts or invoices as PDFs.
Two lower-scoring apps worth a look
13. Email Template Management for Freshdesk: templates picked by ticket type, 6/10
Arbaan GT's Email Template Management for Freshdesk suggests or applies a reply template based on ticket properties such as group, type or product, so an agent opening a "Widget Issue" ticket sees the matching template first. Templates get a CSS editor for headers and footers, plus placeholders for the agent to fill in. It's free, with 12 ratings averaging 4.42 and 113 installs, and was last published in June 2025.
Scores: reviews 1, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 1, maintained 1.
The listing never says where the template appears, in the sidebar or the reply editor, and it has no installation instructions tab. Both written reviews, each more than a year old, use it for signatures. Rob Cross (1 star, February 2025) wrote: "A great idea - poorly implemented." He added that templates need two saves and the signature has to be applied by hand on each email. Compare it with Freshdesk's own canned responses before you add an app.
Best for: teams whose replies differ by product or ticket type.
28. Attachment Manager Plus: find any attachment on a long ticket, 5/10
Spritle Software's Attachment Manager Plus searches attachments in the sidebar, filters them by type, sorts by name or date, previews many formats and downloads one or all. Admins can stop agents deleting attachments and tag tickets that arrive with files. It starts from $2 per agent per month after a 21-day trial. It has 3 ratings averaging 3.33 and 16 installs.
Scores: reviews 0, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 1, maintained 1.
It loses points on the "from" price, the missing installation instructions and a last publish in June 2025. At $2 per agent it costs twice as much as Attachments Preview Pro, and adds search, filters and the delete restriction.
Best for: long B2B tickets with dozens of files.

| 36 | Stonly scripted guides for agents (Stonly) | 1 (5.0) | Freshdesk on Enterprise, custom | 0/0/1/2/0 | 3 | Agent guides; listing text names Zendesk |
Attachments Manager is the most used third-party app in this pool, and its reviews explain why it ranks 12th rather than near the top. Eugene Minon (2 stars, November 2025) wrote: "It's great at identifying all the attachments in the ticket. However, the download all attachments or select multiple files for download does not work." Four of its five newest reviews give 1 or 2 stars, and the newest, from July 2026, reports the same bug.
Read Receipts is listed as free, but its pricing page uses a calculator by Freshdesk plan and agent count, billed through Freshworks. Danielle Tate (3 stars, August 2025) wrote: "Works well, but nowhere does it say it is a paid app when you install it and that you only get a trial." SendSafely's listing says an enterprise subscription is needed after the trial; its pricing page shows Enterprise as custom pricing, and lists ticketing platform integration on the $232-a-month Business plan, so ask which one applies.
What these apps change for an AI agent on the same tickets
Macha connects to Freshdesk with your API key and works the same tickets these apps touch. Before an agent goes live, we check four things.
First, notes written by apps. Read Receipts adds a private note when a customer opens a reply, and Audio Video Attachments drops recordings in as private notes. Each note is a ticket update, so a trigger that fires on updates can wake on them. We use the tag-and-exclude pattern: the trigger adds a tag when it fires and excludes that tag from its own conditions.
Second, where the files live. Macha's Read Attachment tool extracts text from PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV and TXT files attached to a ticket. Preview apps don't change that. Apps that send a link instead of a file, like SendSafely, leave nothing attached for the agent to read.
Third, field values. Option hiders change what agents can pick, so we check which dropdown values the AI agent is allowed to write.
Fourth, API budget. Many of these apps run on your API key, and Freshdesk applies its rate limit account-wide; our rate limits guide covers the errors. Then we replay past tickets in a simulation and confirm whether replies post as internal notes or public before anything runs on its own.
Where AI fits
These apps make an agent faster at each step around the reply. An AI agent can draft or send the reply itself on routine requests and hand off the rest.
Macha runs AI agents inside the Freshdesk account you already have, set up and monitored by the Macha team. It fits teams already running Freshdesk who want agents acting inside the ticket, while apps like Email Template Management keep helping the people who handle what's left. Pricing starts at $299/month for 750 tickets, with a trial of $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Which one fits your situation?
- Replies vary by product or ticket type: Email Template Management for Freshdesk.
- Agents copy IDs into other tools all day: URL Hyperlink Pro, or External Link if fixed links are enough.
- Customers send screenshots and documents: Attachments Preview Pro; Attachment Manager Plus for long tickets with many files.
- You need to show the problem, not describe it: Audio Video Attachments.
- Dropdowns have grown too long: Value Hider for everyone, Dropdown Option Hider per agent, or Freshworks' free Set Ticket Field Options first.
- Tickets leave Freshdesk as documents: Print Tickets PDF Pro for bulk, Print Ticket PDF for customer and agent versions.
FAQs
What are the best Freshdesk productivity apps?
On our rubric, six apps share the top score of 8 out of 10: URL Hyperlink Pro, Value Hider, Print Tickets PDF Pro, Audio Video Attachments, Contract Manager Pro and Dropdown Option Hider. Print Ticket PDF, External Link, Attachments Preview Pro, CalendarGuard and PDF Preview Pro follow on 7.
Why do so few Freshdesk productivity apps have reviews?
Of 230 apps in the category, 112 have no ratings, and only 34 have 10 or more. Of the 36 apps we scored, 29 have fewer than 100 installs, so a strong score usually reflects a complete listing and recent updates rather than many users.
Are free Freshdesk apps really free?
Usually, but check. Read Receipts for Tickets is listed as free and charges by team size after a trial, and SendSafely needs a paid SendSafely subscription after its trial.
<div class="docs-callout"><div><p class="docs-callout-title">Are you listed here?</p><p class="docs-callout-body">Partners and app makers can send corrections with a public source to [email protected]. We fix facts within a week. Scores follow the rubric above, not requests.</p></div></div>
How we researched this
On October 30, 2026 we queried the Freshworks Marketplace catalog for Freshdesk, 767 apps, for the Productivity, Utility & Workflows category: 230 apps, of which 118 have at least one rating and 34 have 10 or more. We read each candidate's public app record for publisher, description, installation steps and publish date, and captured the listings on freshworks.com the same day with a rendered browser read. We checked every review quote word for word against each listing's Ratings and Review tab. We left out apps whose listing names only a generic "support" account as the publisher, and apps another post in this series already scores. Prices are the Marketplace's US-dollar list prices for Freshdesk, or the vendor's own pricing page where the app needs an outside account. We didn't install or test any app or contact any vendor, and scores come from public pages only.
Disclosure: Macha makes AI agents that run inside help desks. Nobody paid to be listed, and Macha is not ranked here.
