Best Intercom Survey, CSAT and NPS Apps (2026): 14 App Store Apps Scored
The best Intercom survey app in October 2026 is Simplesat, at 9 of 10 on our five public criteria, followed by a second tier on 8 made up of BlockSurvey, CSAT.AI, Survicate, Typeform and Usercall. Intercom already sends a five-emoji conversation rating when a teammate closes a conversation and has its own Surveys product, so a third-party app has to add something: NPS or CES programs, more question types, ratings written back into the inbox, or reporting outside Intercom. We scored 14 apps from the App Store's Surveys & Feedback category that send CSAT, NPS or general surveys to Intercom contacts.
Key takeaways
- Simplesat scores highest at 9 of 10: it shows ratings in the inbox sidebar, writes notes and tags back to conversations and publishes every plan's price.
- Five apps tie on 8, and they split two ways: BlockSurvey, CSAT.AI, Survicate and Typeform work inside conversations, while Usercall invites customers to an interview after a conversation closes.
- At 1,000 responses a month, published prices run from $30 at NativeForms to $299 at Simplesat, because most survey vendors charge by the response.
- Only 3 of the 14 listings, CSAT.AI, Simplesat and Usercall, have new images from the last 12 months, and 3 of the 14 publish no price at all.

Tiers: 9 (app 1), 8 (apps 2-6), 7 (apps 7-8), 6 (apps 9-11), 5 (apps 12-13), 4 (app 14). Intercom shows no reviews or install counts, so apps inside a tier are listed alphabetically. Prices come from each vendor's pricing page on October 29-30, 2026.
Intercom's own CSAT and Surveys, outside the ranking
Intercom's conversation rating sends the customer five emoji options when a teammate closes a conversation, in the Messenger or by email, and credits the rating to the teammate who last replied, per its conversation ratings article. Workflows, which control when it goes out, are on the Advanced and Expert plans only.
Its CSAT-on-close guide lists the gaps. The built-in automation "enforces a 7-day gate," WhatsApp surveys go out only if the conversation closes within 24 hours of the customer's last message, and "CSAT surveys are not sent for conversations with multiple participants."
For NPS, Intercom's Surveys product has eight question types, including a 0-10 NPS scale, a star rating and an emoji rating, with up to 12 questions in small or large format. A Surveyed CSAT report splits teammate and Fin scores.
How we scored them
We started from the 96 apps in the App Store's Surveys & Feedback category plus a keyword search across every category, and kept third-party apps whose main job is to survey Intercom contacts or act on the results. Apps in Intercom's "demoted" ranking tier are left out. Our Intercom integrations guide covers the rest. Each app is scored 0 to 2 on five criteria.
| Criterion | 2 points | 1 point | 0 points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace standing | Built-for or partner badge, or featured | Listed with docs | Listing only |
| Published price | Full price on the listing or vendor site | A free tier or "from" price only | Contact sales |
| Works in the ticket | Acts inside the ticket or agent workspace with documented features | View-only or limited | Unclear |
| Setup effort | Marketplace install with documented self-serve setup | Needs configuration help or an onboarding call | Custom work or undocumented |
| Maintained | Listing or app updated in the last 12 months | 12 to 24 months | Older or unknown |
Intercom has no public reviews, so the first criterion is standing: 2 for an app in one of the App Store's three Featured collections (Popular, New & noteworthy, Free apps to install), 1 for a listing with a docs link or setup guide, 0 for a bare listing. Works in the ticket scores 2 only when the listing shows the app in the inbox, either in the reply box or the conversation sidebar, and the vendor says what it does there. Intercom's home page also shows an "Effortlessly issue surveys" collection, which includes Survicate; we count only the three Featured collections, as in our other Intercom roundups. Intercom listings carry no update date, so maintained uses the newest upload timestamp on the listing's icon and screenshots. That measures the listing, not the app.
The 14 apps, ranked in tiers
Top tier, 9 of 10: Simplesat
1. Simplesat: ratings that land back in the conversation, 9/10
Simplesat sends CSAT, NPS, CES and multi-question surveys "as an app or with text in conversations, messages, chats, posts, and emails," per its listing. It shows the latest feedback in the inbox sidebar, syncs rating details to conversation and customer custom attributes, adds private notes and tags to rated conversations, and can open a follow-up conversation from a rating.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
The pricing page lists Starter at $149 a month for 300 responses, Pro at $299 for 1,000, Premium at $599 for 2,500 and Scale at $999 for 5,000, or $119 to $829 a month billed annually, with Enterprise through sales. Integrations are on every plan, and the 14-day trial runs at Premium level. Its listing images were uploaded in October 2026.
Simplesat scores 9 in our Zendesk CSAT roundup too. Robert Johnston wrote on its Zendesk listing, over a year ago: "The integration is smooth and intuitive, making setup and customization straightforward." Olga (Carly) wrote at the same age that "the share of rated tickets has significantly increased compared to our previous solution."
Best for: support teams that want the rating, the comment and a follow-up task on the conversation that earned them.
Second tier, 8 of 10: BlockSurvey, CSAT.AI, Survicate, Typeform and Usercall
All five install self-serve. BlockSurvey, Survicate and Typeform lose points on listing age, CSAT.AI on price, and Usercall for working outside the inbox.
2. BlockSurvey: privacy-first surveys answered in the chat, 8/10
BlockSurvey lets you "selectively send surveys in specific conversations via the Intercom Messenger," and the customer answers in the chat bubble with no external link. Its setup article starts from a survey's Integrate screen.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 1.
The pricing page has a free plan, then Standard at $49 a month or $39 billed yearly for 6,000 responses a year, Premium at $99 or $79 for 24,000, Team at $149 or $119 for 60,000, and Enterprise on request. NPS, CSAT and CES appear in the Team plan's feature list, so a CSAT program starts at $119 a month. Its newest listing images are from March 2025.
Best for: teams that need encrypted survey data and an in-chat survey without a link.
3. CSAT.AI: a survey on close, scored in the sidebar, 8/10
CSAT.AI from Navedas sends "a short, branded satisfaction survey" when a conversation closes. The rating and comment come back to the conversation as a private note, and the score shows in a CSAT.AI card in the conversation sidebar. It also scores closed conversations against your own QA rubric.
Scores: standing 1, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 2.
Its pricing page starts Growth at $20 per agent a month billed annually, after a 21-day trial, and a "starting at" price scores 1. Installing creates the account, with "no separate sign-up," and its listing images are from October 2026. It scores 6 in our Zendesk CSAT roundup, where the app is a nav-bar dashboard rather than a sidebar card.
Best for: teams that want CSAT and QA scores on one conversation.
4. Survicate: one survey program across Messenger, email and the web, 8/10
Survicate runs NPS, CSAT, CES and research surveys in the Messenger, in Intercom emails or on your site, and sends answers to Intercom contacts "as tags, events, or attributes." Its Intercom help article walks through building a Messenger or email survey, and the listing shows it in the reply box and conversation details.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 1.
The pricing page shows Growth at $114 a month billed annually for 250 responses, with a slider for more, Pro at $349 and Enterprise at $569 with custom yearly response pools, after a 10-day trial capped at 25 responses. Its plan table includes Intercom Surveys on every plan. Its newest listing images are from May 2025. If results land as tags and attributes, our attributes vs tags guide explains which to use.
Best for: teams surveying product users and support customers from one tool.
5. Typeform: a form inside the conversation, 8/10
Typeform adds a customizable button to a conversation, the Messenger home or a bot flow, and loads the typeform in the Messenger window. Agents get notified when it's submitted and can see a customer's typeform answers from the inbox. Intercom features it in its Popular collection.
Scores: standing 2, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
The pricing page has a free plan, then Basic at $39 a month or $28 billed yearly for 100 responses, Plus at $79 or $56 for 1,000, and Business at $129 or $91 for 10,000, with Enterprise through sales. Its listing images are from December 2021.
Best for: teams that need branching questions or file uploads mid-conversation more than a CSAT score.
6. Usercall: an interview after the conversation closes, 8/10
Usercall watches for closed support conversations and, when "the customer is still stuck," sends them a short interview link in a new message. The listing puts it plainly: "The closed conversation stays closed." You read the transcript in Usercall, and there's no Intercom workflow to build.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 2.
The pricing page lists Lite at $89 a month or $899 a year, Core at $199 or $1,999 and Pro at $399 or $3,999, by monthly credits and interview length, plus Custom. The first interview is free. Its listing images were uploaded in October 2026.
Best for: teams that want to know why a solved conversation didn't solve anything, in the customer's words.
Third tier, 7 of 10: NativeForms and SurveySparrow
7. NativeForms: the cheapest way to survey in a conversation, 7/10
NativeForms builds forms, surveys, polls and NPS questions that you can use "in conversations, emails, outbound messages, bots, messenger or simply using a link." Setup runs from the NativeForms dashboard into Intercom's Messenger settings, with a video in the listing guide.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
The pricing page lists Starter at $10 a month for 100 responses, Regular at $20 for 250 and Business at $30 for unlimited responses, all with unlimited users, after a 7-day trial. Its listing images date from May 2020.
Best for: small teams that need an NPS question in a chat and nothing else.
8. SurveySparrow: NPS from the reply box, 7/10
SurveySparrow is a general survey platform. Its listing guide shows the app "available in the reply section next to the App store icon," so an agent can drop an NPS survey into the conversation, and the score then shows on the customer profile.
Scores: standing 1, price 2, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
Its pricing page has a free plan and a 14-day trial, then Basic from $19 a month billed yearly. Intercom first appears on Business, from $79 a month billed yearly or $149 billed quarterly, and Enterprise is through sales. The listing's newest images are from November 2023. It also scores 7 in our Zendesk CSAT roundup, with a different split: that app sits in the nav bar rather than the conversation, but its listing was updated in August 2026.
Best for: companies already running SurveySparrow for other surveys.
Fourth tier, 6 of 10: DataScope Forms, Retently and Zonka Feedback
9. DataScope Forms: a form builder in the free collection, 6/10
DataScope lets customers answer forms, CSAT surveys and NPS questions from the Intercom chat. Intercom features it in Free apps to install.
Scores: standing 2, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 1, maintained 0.
Its Intercom sign-up site returned a server error both times we tried, so setup scores 1. DataScope's main pricing page has a free plan with 100 actions a month and paid plans "from" amounts, such as Starter from about $190 a month (€171). Its listing images date from 2020.
Best for: teams that already use DataScope for incident reports and other forms.
10. Retently: NPS in in-app messages or by hand, 6/10
Retently syncs your Intercom audience and lets you "embed the surveys in automated in-app Intercom messages or send the survey manually in chat conversations," then exports ratings and feedback back to Intercom.
Scores: standing 1, price 1, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
The pricing page shows Ecommerce Basic at $99 a month and Ecommerce Pro at $299, with a 14-day trial. Intercom sits under its B2B integrations, and the B2B plan prices didn't show on the page we read, so price scores 1. Its listing still says CSAT and CES are "coming soon," and its images are from February 2022.
Best for: B2B teams running a recurring NPS program that want follow-up inside Intercom.
11. Zonka Feedback: surveys from the reply box, priced by quote, 6/10
Zonka Feedback surveys Intercom contacts by segment, immediately or after a delay, shows NPS, CES and CSAT scores as tags and puts the full response in Intercom notes. Its help article says agents can pick the app from the reply box and send a survey whose first question appears in the Messenger. Intercom features it in New & noteworthy.
Scores: standing 2, price 0, works in the ticket 2, setup 2, maintained 0.
The pricing page offers "custom pricing based on your feedback volume," after a 14-day trial, and its help article puts Intercom on the Professional plan and above. Its listing images are from August 2021.
Best for: teams that want scores as Intercom tags to report on.
Fifth tier, 5 of 10: InMoment Surveys and SatisMeter
12. InMoment Surveys: the former Wootric, sold by demo, 5/10
InMoment runs NPS, CSAT and CES micro-surveys in Intercom conversations, and its listing guide says you can "see their Net Promoter Score, CSAT or CES feedback right in conversation view" and open a conversation with detractors. Intercom features it in Free apps to install, and there's a separate EU listing.
Scores: standing 2, price 0, works in the ticket 2, setup 1, maintained 0.
The listing calls the app free, but the pricing page routes every plan to a demo or contact form. Its images are from August 2021.
Best for: companies already on InMoment that want Intercom feedback in the same program.
13. SatisMeter: in-app NPS that opens a conversation, 5/10
SatisMeter sends NPS feedback collected inside your product to Intercom "as a new conversation, user event, and added user traits." Its Intercom help article lets you choose, per survey, whether responses open a conversation, only text responses do, or none do.
Scores: standing 0, price 2, works in the ticket 1, setup 2, maintained 0.
The pricing page lists Free at 25 responses a month, Growth at $199 for 1,000 and Enterprise on request. The listing has no docs link or setup guide, and its images are from 2019.
Best for: SaaS teams that want detractors to land in the inbox as conversations.
Sixth tier, 4 of 10: AskNicely
14. AskNicely NPS Chat: NPS in the Messenger, quote only, 4/10
AskNicely measures NPS "right from the Messenger," uses Intercom rules to trigger requests and stores ratings and comments in Intercom, Salesforce and Slack.
Scores: standing 1, price 0, works in the ticket 2, setup 1, maintained 0.
Its pricing page has three plans, all through sales. The listing carries no dated images.
Best for: teams already running an AskNicely NPS program.
What 1,000 survey responses a month costs
Most survey vendors price by responses, so cost follows how many customers answer, not how many conversations you close. Response pricing earns the vendor more when more customers answer, an incentive that lines up with yours. Five apps publish enough to price 1,000 responses a month.
| App | Plan at 1,000 responses a month | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| NativeForms | Business (unlimited responses) | $30 |
| Typeform | Plus, billed monthly ($56 billed yearly) | $79 |
| BlockSurvey | Team, billed monthly, the first plan listing NPS, CSAT and CES ($119 billed yearly) | $149 |
| SatisMeter | Growth | $199 |
| Simplesat | Pro, billed monthly ($249 billed annually) | $299 |
Simplesat costs ten times NativeForms, and the gap buys the write-back: sidebar ratings, notes, tags and follow-up conversations. Survicate (a response slider from $114 billed annually), CSAT.AI (per agent) and Usercall (interview credits) don't fit the table.
What survey apps change for an AI agent on the same conversations
A survey app adds events to conversations that an AI agent also works. On Intercom, Macha's tools read conversations and contacts, reply as the connected admin, add internal notes, assign, tag and close.
We check three things before an agent goes live. First, what the app creates. Simplesat can open a follow-up conversation from a rating and SatisMeter can turn a response into a conversation, and Macha's first-message trigger fires on every new conversation. It's warning-gated for that reason, so we scope it with tags or teams so survey follow-ups don't get an AI reply nobody asked for. Second, what the app writes. Simplesat, CSAT.AI, Zonka and Survicate write tags, notes or attributes; we read those before choosing the tags an agent adds, so the two don't collide. Third, whose rating it is. Intercom credits a conversation rating to the teammate who last replied, and Macha replies as the connected admin, so we tag AI-handled conversations before anyone reads the CSAT report. A low score on an AI handoff often points at the handoff setup more than the reply.
Then we replay past conversations in a simulation and confirm whether replies post as internal notes or public before anything runs on its own.
Where AI fits
Macha runs AI agents inside the Intercom workspace you already have, set up and monitored by the Macha team. It fits teams that want agents acting inside the conversation on routine requests while a survey app like Simplesat keeps scoring the results. Pricing starts at $299/month for 750 tickets, with a trial of $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit. If you'd rather hire a firm to set up Intercom itself, see our Intercom implementation partners.
Also listed, not ranked
- Delighted is still in New & noteworthy, but Qualtrics says "It's no longer available."
- ResponZ, Isara, Bubbling Alerts and Supportman analyze or alert on CSAT rather than sending surveys, and are scored in our Intercom QA roundup.
- Feature-voting boards (Canny, Featurebase), review apps (Trustpilot Integration) and form builders (Paperform, forms.app) are out of scope.
Which one fits your situation?
- You want ratings, notes and follow-ups on the conversation: Simplesat.
- You want CSAT and QA scores together: CSAT.AI.
- You need NPS across product and support: Survicate, or SatisMeter for in-app NPS.
- You need a long form mid-conversation: Typeform.
- Survey data is sensitive: BlockSurvey.
- You want to know why "solved" didn't solve it: Usercall.
- The budget is $30 a month: NativeForms.
- Intercom's own rating is enough: stay native, and check the 7-day gate and WhatsApp's 24-hour window first.

How we researched this
On October 29, 2026 we queried the Intercom App Store's public payload of 735 apps.
We rendered the listings on October 29-30 and read each vendor's pricing page and Intercom docs, plus Intercom's help center. Simplesat, SurveySparrow and CSAT.AI are also in our Zendesk CSAT roundup; each is scored here on its Intercom listing. Prices are shown in US dollars; prices published in other currencies were converted at European Central Bank reference rates of October 29, 2026. We didn't install any app or contact any vendor, and one reviewer applied the scores to public pages.
Disclosure: Macha makes AI agents that run inside help desks. Nobody paid to be listed, and Macha is not ranked here.
