What Are the Best Infobip Alternatives in 2026? 8 CPaaS Options With Real US Prices

The main Infobip alternatives are Twilio, Vonage, Sinch, Plivo, Telnyx, Azure Communication Services, AWS End User Messaging and Cisco's Webex Connect, and seven of the eight print a US SMS rate on their own pricing page. Telnyx has the lowest base rate at $0.004 per message part, or $400 for 100,000 US texts a month before carrier fees.

We checked every price on September 19, 2026 and rechecked Twilio, Plivo, Telnyx and Sinch on September 24, 2026. For what Infobip itself does, including its AgentOS AI platform, read our Infobip guide.

Why do teams leave Infobip?

Infobip is well rated by the enterprise buyers Gartner surveys: 4.6 out of 5 from 113 ratings on Gartner Peer Insights, and 4.6 from 14 reviews on Capterra, both checked September 19, 2026. Trustpilot is a different story, at 1.6 from 34 reviews (unchanged on September 24), though several of those one-star reviews come from people who received unwanted texts sent through Infobip rather than from Infobip customers. On G2, Infobip holds 4.2 out of 5 from 60 reviews, checked September 19, 2026. The complaints that do come from customers fall into three groups.

Gartner Peer Insights: Infobip 4.6 from 113 ratings; top alternative Vonage Communications APIs 4.7 from 240
Gartner Peer Insights: Infobip 4.6 from 113 ratings; top alternative Vonage Communications APIs 4.7 from 240

1. Support that's slow to answer. A Director of Marketing at a $250M–$500M company titled a three-star Gartner review in November 2024 "Good but can be better from a technical support perspective." On Trustpilot, a reviewer named Frits wrote on August 18, 2026: "poor support and slow to react. If there is any change you will find out, but only because the service breaks." Two days later chris vine wrote that "Service is super slow."

2. Prices you can't see until you're committed. Infobip's pricing page is a set of per-country calculators, and it says it shows "the average price across all supported networks for each country. Per-network pricing is available in Portal." When we set its SMS calculator to the United States on September 19, it returned €0 at every volume we tried. AgentOS, the AI layer, has no public price. Ignacio Guarinos, reviewing a chatbot trial on Trustpilot in October 2025, found that "the service isn't based on a single subscription, but on multiple overlapping ones" and that "the system doesn't warn you that the features you're adding come with additional costs." Vendr, which negotiates software contracts for buyers, says on its Infobip page that "companies often face 25-40% cost increases when their usage grows beyond contracted platform fee tiers."

Infobip's SMS calculator set to the United States and 100,000 messages, still showing an estimated price of €0
Infobip's SMS calculator set to the United States and 100,000 messages, still showing an estimated price of €0

3. It's priced for big accounts. Capterra reviewers have said this for years. Chin Han O., a lead software developer in consumer goods, wrote in November 2020: "Cost slightly high. Huge corporations can bring cost down but they need a dev team." Ahmad Idzuan S. wrote in December 2021 that it's "more suitable for medium or large organization."

Infobip's incentive explains the pattern. A platform-fee-plus-volume contract earns the most from large committed accounts, so self-serve pricing, visible rates and fast support for small accounts are the parts it has least reason to invest in.

What do 100,000 US texts a month cost on each?

Base rates differ more than they look. At 100,000 outbound 10DLC messages a month, before carrier fees and number rental:

PlatformBase rate100,000 messages
Telnyx$0.004$400
Azure Communication Services$0.0075$750
Plivo$0.0077$770
AWS End User Messaging$0.00774$774
Sinch$0.0078$780
Twilio$0.0083$830
Vonage$0.0086$860

Carrier fees add roughly another $200 to $500 at this volume on every platform, because US carriers charge them per message whichever provider you use. AWS publishes a single all-network figure of $0.00421, which is $421 on 100,000 texts. So the base-rate gap between the cheapest and dearest option here is $460 a month, and carrier fees narrow it in percentage terms because every provider passes roughly the same fees through.

What are the 8 best Infobip alternatives?

1. Twilio

Twilio US SMS pricing: $0.0083 to send or receive on long code, toll-free and short code
Twilio US SMS pricing: $0.0083 to send or receive on long code, toll-free and short code

Twilio is the default comparison, and Google's own "People also ask" box asks it directly. It publishes every US rate: $0.0083 per SMS sent or received on long code, toll-free or short code, $0.022 per outbound MMS, $1.15 a month for a long-code number, and carrier surcharges listed per carrier. Its WhatsApp page charges $0.005 per message, inbound or outbound, on top of Meta's fees. Gartner users rate it 4.4 from 184 ratings.

The watch-out is that Twilio charges for things Infobip bundles into a contract, one line at a time: 10DLC registration fees, a "failed message processing fee of $0.001 per message," and the $0.005 on every WhatsApp reply. None of it is hidden, but it adds up.

Choose it if you have developers and want a published price for everything before you sign.

2. Vonage (Ericsson)

Vonage SMS pricing for a virtual number: $0.0086 to send, $0.00691 to receive, $1.05 a month
Vonage SMS pricing for a virtual number: $0.0086 to send, $0.00691 to receive, $1.05 a month

Vonage is the top-rated alternative on Gartner's list, at 4.7 from 240 ratings, and Gartner lists it under Ericsson. With the country set to the United States, its page shows $0.0086 to send a text, $0.00691 to receive one, $1.05 a month for a virtual number and no setup fee, plus carrier fees from $0.0035 (AT&T) to $0.0050 (US Cellular). The page opens on your own country by default, so check it's set to the US before comparing.

It's the most expensive send rate in our table, by less than a tenth of a cent. What you're paying for, if the Gartner reviews are right, is service quality: the top review on Gartner's page describes six years of use and implementation that "was fast and well supported."

Choose it if your reason for leaving Infobip is support, and a small premium per message is acceptable.

3. Sinch

Sinch US SMS pricing: $0.0078 per message on 10DLC and toll-free, $0.009 on short code, carrier fees extra
Sinch US SMS pricing: $0.0078 per message on 10DLC and toll-free, $0.009 on short code, carrier fees extra

Sinch is Infobip's closest match in shape: a large global CPaaS, rated 4.5 from 108 ratings on Gartner. Unlike Infobip, it prints US prices: $0.0078 per message on 10DLC and toll-free numbers, $0.009 on short codes, with "Carrier fees apply" under each. Numbers are $1 a month with a $1 setup fee.

The watch-out is that its SMS page doesn't list the carrier fees themselves, so you'll need the account view or a quote to get the full per-message figure.

Choose it if you want a like-for-like global replacement for Infobip with visible US pricing.

4. Plivo

Plivo US SMS pricing: long code and short code $0.0077, toll-free $0.0079 per SMS, send or receive
Plivo US SMS pricing: long code and short code $0.0077, toll-free $0.0079 per SMS, send or receive

Plivo is a developer API with some of the lowest published prices of the established providers: $0.0077 per US SMS on long codes and short codes, $0.0079 on toll-free, plus carrier surcharges of $0.0035 to $0.0050. Numbers rent for $0.50 a month. Its pricing page also compares itself with Twilio at 100,000 messages; that's Plivo's own calculation.

Plivo isn't on Gartner's Infobip alternatives list, so there's less enterprise review data to go on, and its SMS pricing page doesn't cover WhatsApp.

Choose it if you're a developer-led team sending mostly SMS and want a lower base rate than Twilio.

5. Telnyx

Telnyx SMS API pricing: from $0.004 per part, $0 platform fee, carrier fees passed through at cost
Telnyx SMS API pricing: from $0.004 per part, $0 platform fee, carrier fees passed through at cost

Telnyx has the lowest base rate we found: "$0.004 a part. Then the carrier, at cost," with a $0 platform fee and numbers at $1 a month. Toll-free is $0.0055 and short code $0.007, and volume discounts apply automatically at very high volume. It lists WhatsApp at Meta's rate per conversation.

The watch-out is fit: Telnyx is an API, with no marketing or engagement tools on top, and it isn't on Gartner's Infobip alternatives list.

Choose it if SMS volume is your main cost and you have engineers to build around an API.

6. Azure Communication Services

Azure Communication Services 10DLC pricing: $1 a month per number, $0.0075 to send or receive in the US
Azure Communication Services 10DLC pricing: $1 a month per number, $0.0075 to send or receive in the US

For a team already on Microsoft, Azure bills messaging through the existing Azure account. Its documentation lists US 10DLC texts at $0.0075 to send or receive, $1 a month per number, a one-time $4 brand registration and $40 standard vetting, campaign registration from $1.50 to $30 a month, and carrier surcharges from $0.0020 to $0.0050. Gartner users rate it 4.4 from 63 ratings.

One catch the documentation spells out: for US billing addresses, "Azure Prepayment" and prepaid credits can't be used for these products, and the spend doesn't count toward a Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment. If you were hoping to burn down an Azure commitment, you can't. For AI agents on the Microsoft stack, see our Copilot Studio guide.

Choose it if your engineering already runs on Azure and you want one bill.

7. AWS End User Messaging

AWS End User Messaging, United States: $0.00774 base price plus $0.00421 carrier fee per outbound SMS
AWS End User Messaging, United States: $0.00774 base price plus $0.00421 carrier fee per outbound SMS

AWS prices SMS with a country selector. For the United States it shows a base price of $0.00774 per outbound message plus a carrier fee of $0.00421 across all networks, about $0.012 all in. WhatsApp costs an "AWS message fee" of $0.005 per outbound message and $0.001 per inbound, plus Meta's fee. Gartner's alternatives list rates "AWS Business Applications" as a group at 4.5 from 49.

AWS is the only provider here that publishes one combined carrier-fee figure, which makes it the easiest to budget. Like Telnyx and Twilio, it's an API. If you want AI agents and a contact center on top, that's Amazon Connect, priced separately.

Choose it if you're already on AWS and want messaging on the same bill.

8. Webex Connect (Cisco)

AWS Marketplace listing for Webex Connect by Cisco: custom pricing, request a private offer
AWS Marketplace listing for Webex Connect by Cisco: custom pricing, request a private offer

Webex Connect is the one alternative here that sells the way Infobip does. It's an enterprise engagement platform rated 4.4 from 239 on Gartner, and its AWS Marketplace listing says "Pricing is based on your specific requirements and eligibility. Request a private offer to receive a custom quote." We found no public rate.

That makes it a lateral move on pricing transparency. It makes sense if you're a Cisco or Webex contact center shop and want messaging from the same vendor.

Choose it if you already run Webex and want an enterprise contract rather than self-serve.

Also considered. Messente ranks for this search with its own comparison page, but its pricing page sets a minimum of €500 a month, or 25,000 messages, on pay-as-you-go. NXCLOUD (4.3 from 93) and Exotel (4.6 from 37) are also on Gartner's list. Gupshup competes more on WhatsApp and conversational messaging than on SMS.

What if you bought Infobip for AgentOS, not delivery?

Infobip sells two things: message delivery and, since AgentOS, an AI agent platform on top. Every alternative above replaces the first. If the second is what you're evaluating, compare conversational AI platforms directly: our guides to Kore.ai and Yellow.ai cover the enterprise options, and our overview of AI agents for customer service covers the wider market. You can then buy delivery from whichever provider above has the best rate.

If the conversations you want an AI agent to handle already arrive in a help desk, there's a third route. Macha fits teams already running Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom: it's an AI agent layer on the help desk that works the tickets there, not a messaging platform. It's priced per ticket, from $299 a month for 750 tickets (about $0.40 a ticket), with setup and monitoring by the Macha team; see pricing.

Who should stay on Infobip?

Infobip's Gartner score is real: 4.6 from 113 ratings from the enterprise buyers it's built for. If you send across many countries and channels, have a negotiated contract with volume tiers, and use AgentOS or Infobip's customer data platform, moving to a cheaper SMS API means rebuilding the parts that made you pick Infobip. A VP of IT at a bank rated it five stars on Gartner in January 2026, summarized by Gartner as "Service Satisfaction Highlighted by Users With Over Ten Years of Experience." For those accounts, renegotiating the platform-fee tiers Vendr describes is usually cheaper than switching.

What moves when you switch from Infobip, and what doesn't?

  • US 10DLC registration has to be done again. Each provider registers your brand and campaigns with the carriers' registry on its own platform. Azure's documentation lists the fees ($4 brand registration, $40 vetting, $1.50 to $30 a month per campaign), and Twilio's pricing page says "US A2P 10DLC are subject to registration onboarding fees."
  • Numbers can usually be ported, but check each provider's porting process for your number type before you give notice.
  • WhatsApp numbers move between providers through Meta's migration process for a different WhatsApp Business Account. The number keeps its display name, messaging limits and verified status, and approved templates are copied, but template quality ratings reset.
  • Flows, AgentOS agents and customer profiles don't move. They're built on Infobip's platform, so plan to rebuild them.
  • Budget for WhatsApp's October 2026 change. Meta starts charging for service messages on October 1, 2026, at the same rate as utility and authentication messages in each market, after 1,000 free a month per business phone number. Utility templates sent inside the 24-hour customer service window start being charged too, and an account with no payment method stops delivering service messages once the free 1,000 are used, according to Meta's developer pricing page. That applies whichever provider sends the messages.

How we researched this

On September 19, 2026 we loaded each provider's US pricing page in a browser, set the country to the United States where the page defaulted elsewhere, and captured the result. We read Infobip's reviews on Gartner Peer Insights, Capterra, Trustpilot and G2 (4.2 from 60 reviews), Gartner's Infobip alternatives page, Vendr's Infobip page, and AWS Marketplace listings. We didn't create an account with any provider, so nothing here comes from a hands-on test. The 100,000-message figures are our arithmetic on published base rates.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Infobip? For published prices and developer tools, Twilio. For the lowest US base rate, Telnyx at $0.004 per message part. For a like-for-like global CPaaS, Sinch. For the highest Gartner rating, Vonage at 4.7 from 240 ratings. If you're on Azure or AWS, their own messaging services keep it on one bill.

Which is better for business, Twilio or Infobip? Twilio is better if you want to see prices before you sign: it publishes $0.0083 per US SMS and $0.005 per WhatsApp message on top of Meta's fee. Infobip is better if you want one enterprise contract across many countries and channels with AI agents included, and it rates slightly higher on Gartner (4.6 against 4.4).

How much does Infobip cost? Infobip prices channels through per-country calculators on its site, shows average rates across networks, and puts per-network pricing in its customer portal. Its AI platform, AgentOS, is quoted by sales. When we tried the US SMS calculator on September 19, 2026 it returned €0, so we couldn't confirm a public US rate.

Is Infobip good? Enterprise buyers rate it well: 4.6 from 113 ratings on Gartner Peer Insights and 4.6 on Capterra. The recurring complaints are slow support for smaller accounts and pricing that's hard to see before you commit. Its 1.6 on Trustpilot mixes customer reviews with complaints from people who received texts sent through it.

Is Infobip a unicorn? Yes. Infobip raised $200 million from One Equity Partners in 2020 at a valuation estimated above $1 billion, making it the first Croatian unicorn, according to Wikipedia's Infobip entry.

What is the cheapest alternative to Infobip for SMS? Of the providers we checked, Telnyx has the lowest published US base rate at $0.004 per message part with no platform fee. Carrier fees of roughly $0.002 to $0.005 per message apply on every provider.

Can I move my WhatsApp number from Infobip to another provider? Yes. Meta's migration process keeps the display name, messaging limits and verified status, and copies approved templates to the new account. Template quality ratings start again from unknown.

What does Gartner list as Infobip's competitors? Gartner's Infobip alternatives page lists Vonage Communications APIs, Webex Connect, Twilio, Sinch, NXCLOUD, Azure Communication Services, AWS Business Applications and Exotel, in that order.
