Hiver charges $25, $55 or $85 per user a month on annual billing, the same on Hiver Omni and Hiver in Gmail, with all its AI inside the seat price. The two costs buyers miss are the fixed seat blocks and an AWS Marketplace listing that still sells Hiver's older, cheaper tiers.

Key takeaways

  • Hiver charges $25, $55 and $85 per user a month on annual billing for Growth, Pro and Elite, or $35, $65 and $95 monthly, on both Hiver Omni and Hiver in Gmail.
  • Hiver sells seats in fixed blocks of 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and up, so a seven-person team on Pro buys 10 seats for $6,600 a year.
  • Hiver includes AI Agents, AI Copilot, Skills and the AI Knowledge Builder in every plan, with no per-resolution rate, credit pack or session allowance on its pricing pages.
  • Hiver's Voice add-on costs $30 per voice seat a month with 1,000 pooled minutes per seat, then $0.03 a minute beyond the pool.
  • Hiver's AWS Marketplace listing still sells the older Lite, Pro and Elite tiers at $19, $49 and $69 a month on a 1-month contract.
How Much Does Hiver Cost in 2026? Plans, Seat Blocks and Real Costs

Hiver costs $25, $55 or $85 per user a month on annual billing for its Growth, Pro and Elite plans, or $35, $65 and $95 billed monthly, and seats come only in blocks of 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and up. The same three prices apply to both product lines, Hiver Omni and Hiver in Gmail, and every AI feature from AI Agents to Copilot is in the seat price with no per-resolution meter. The one usage charge is the Omni Voice add-on at $30 per voice seat.

How much does Hiver cost in 2026?

Hiver sells two product lines and charges the same for both. Growth, Pro and Elite are the tiers; the difference between the lines is what is in them, not what they cost.

Hiver Omni annual pricing: Growth $25, Pro $55 and Elite $85 per user per month
Hiver Omni annual pricing: Growth $25, Pro $55 and Elite $85 per user per month

There is no free plan on either page. The only free route Hiver names is a 7-day trial of Elite, and the pricing FAQ is blunt about the ending: "If you do not upgrade your Hiver account during your trial period, your account will be suspended at the end of your trial." You can reactivate within 7 days of that.

Do Hiver Omni and Hiver in Gmail cost the same?

hiverhq.com/pricing redirects to Hiver Omni, and a toggle at the top switches to Hiver in Gmail. Both show $25 / $55 / $85. Hiver's own FAQ draws the line:

"Hiver in Gmail lives inside your existing Gmail... Hiver Omni is a standalone platform that works with Gmail, Outlook, and other email providers. It brings email, live chat, Slack, voice, WhatsApp, and social into one workspace."

So the choice is a feature choice, not a budget one. At the Growth tier, the Gmail line gives you a Help Center and the Omni line gives you Omnichannel; at Pro, Omni adds a Slack channel the Gmail line does not list; and the Voice add-on appears only under Omni. If you are on Gmail and email is 90% of your volume, you pay the same $25 either way and the Gmail line is the simpler product.

Hiver in Gmail annual pricing: the same Growth $25, Pro $55 and Elite $85 per user per month

Is Hiver's annual billing worth it?

$25 against $35 is a 28.6% saving, not the usual 15–20%. The same gap holds up the range: $55 against $65 is 15.4%, $85 against $95 is 10.5%.

PlanAnnual, per user / monthMonthly, per user / monthAnnual saving
Growth$25$3528.6%
Pro$55$6515.4%
Elite$85$9510.5%

The discount is steepest exactly where the buyer is smallest. A five-person team on Growth pays $1,500 a year annually against $2,100 monthly, so the commitment saves $600, 40% of the annual bill again. Read it the other way and the monthly option is a $600 charge for the right to leave.

How many Hiver seats do you have to buy?

This is the line that changes budgets, and it is buried in Hiver's pricing FAQ rather than on the plan cards. Verbatim:

"You can grow your team by adding seats in increments. All Hiver plans start at 2 seats. You can increase from 2 to 5, and then in increments of 5 seats (10, 15, 20, and so on)."

The buyable seat counts are therefore 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and upward. Three, four, seven, eight, nine, eleven, none of those is a thing you can purchase. A seven-person support team buys ten seats.

Your teamSeats you must buyGrowth, annualPro, annualCost of the empty seats, Pro
2 people2$600/yr$1,320/yr$0
3 people5$1,500/yr$3,300/yr$1,320/yr
6 people10$3,000/yr$6,600/yr$2,640/yr
7 people10$3,000/yr$6,600/yr$1,980/yr
12 people15$4,500/yr$9,900/yr$1,980/yr
21 people25$7,500/yr$16,500/yr$2,640/yr

The worst case is the team that has just crossed a boundary. Six people on Pro pay for ten seats, which is $6,600 a year for six working agents, $91.67 a head per month against a $55 sticker. Three people on Pro pay $3,300 for five seats, or $91.67 a head as well. If you are sitting at 6, 11 or 16 people, the cheapest move available to you is to fill the block you have already bought.

Is Hiver's AI included in the seat price?

Hiver's AI is not a meter. AI Agents, AI Copilot, Skills and the AI Knowledge Builder are listed on the Growth card, and the AI Agents panel on the pricing page is labeled ALL PLANS. Hiver publishes no per-resolution rate, no credit pack and no session allowance anywhere on either pricing page.

That is genuinely unusual in this category in 2026, and it is the strongest argument for Hiver's price. Zendesk bills its AI agents per automated resolution on top of a seat; its pricing page lists the rate as $1.50 committed and $2.00 pay-as-you-go. Freshdesk's Freddy AI Copilot is $29 per agent a month on Pro and Enterprise, and after a one-time allowance of 500 AI Agent sessions per account, extra sessions cost $49 per 100. Front's Autopilot starts at $0.05 a conversation. Help Scout's AI Answers is $0.75 per resolution. Hiver's AI agent costs whatever your seats already cost.

Two cautions before you bank the saving. First, the bundle is a bundle: with no meter, the pricing pages name no volume ceiling and no top-up to buy, so what happens to a desk that suddenly triples its AI volume is between you and Hiver's sales team. Second, the gating moved up the range in this generation, AI QA and AI Insights sit on Elite at $85, which is where the most expensive AI in Hiver's line-up actually lives.

How much does Hiver Voice cost?

Voice is the one true meter Hiver publishes, and it is Omni-only: $30 per voice seat per month, with 1,000 minutes per voice seat included, plus call recordings, transcripts, AI call summaries and call notes.

Hiver Voice add-on: $30 per voice seat a month with 1,000 minutes included
Hiver Voice add-on: $30 per voice seat a month with 1,000 minutes included

The part that matters for forecasting is not on the card. It sits in a tooltip that the page's visible text leaves out entirely: "Minutes are pooled across all voice seats. Additional usage is charged at $0.03 per minute."

Pooling is the buyer-friendly half, five voice seats give you 5,000 minutes to share rather than 1,000 each, and three cents a minute is a mild overage rate by industry standards. But it is the only consumption line in Hiver's pricing, so it is the only line that can surprise you, and you would not find it by reading the page.

What does Hiver cost for a 5, 7 or 20-person team?

Every line is arithmetic on a rate stated above, with the seat-block rule applied.

A 5-person team on Growth, in Gmail

  • 5 seats is a buyable block. Annual: 5 × $25 = $125 a month, $1,500 a year.
  • Monthly billing: 5 × $35 = $175 a month, $2,100 a year.
  • AI agents, Copilot, Skills and the Knowledge Builder are included; there is nothing else to add.
  • Annual billing saves $600 a year, which is 28.6%.

A 7-person team on Pro, Omni

  • 7 is not buyable. The block is 10. Annual: 10 × $55 = $550 a month, $6,600 a year.
  • Monthly billing: 10 × $65 = $650 a month, $7,800 a year.
  • Per working agent, the annual figure is $78.57 a month, not $55.
  • Three empty seats cost $1,980 a year. On Growth the same team pays 10 × $25 = $3,000 a year, so the Pro upgrade for seven people is a $3,600 decision.

A 20-person desk on Elite with 5 voice seats, Omni

  • Seats, annual: 20 × $85 = $1,700 a month.
  • Voice: 5 × $30 = $150 a month, which pools 5,000 minutes.
  • At 8,000 minutes a month: 3,000 over × $0.03 = $90 a month.
  • Total: $1,700 + $150 + $90 = $1,940 a month, $23,280 a year, or $97 per agent per month against an $85 sticker.
  • On monthly billing the seats alone are 20 × $95 = $1,900, so the same desk pays $2,140 a month, $25,680 a year.

Why is Hiver cheaper on AWS Marketplace?

Because AWS is still selling an old price list. Hiver has a live first-party listing on AWS Marketplace, sold by Hiver, rated 4.6 from 1,278 reviews. Its pricing tab does not carry the prices above. It carries the previous generation of Hiver's price list, tier names included.

AWS Marketplace dimension1-month contract12-month contractSaving as printed
Lite$19.00 / month$180.00 / year ($15.00 a month)21%
Pro$49.00 / month$468.00 / year ($39.00 a month)20%
Elite$69.00 / month$708.00 / year ($59.00 a month)14%
AWS Marketplace still lists Hiver as Lite $19, Pro $49 and Elite $69 per month
AWS Marketplace still lists Hiver as Lite $19, Pro $49 and Elite $69 per month

Lite is absent from hiverhq.com. The entry tier there is Growth at $25 a month annually, $35 monthly. The listing's Pro at $49 is $6 below Hiver's current annual Pro and $16 below its monthly one; its Elite at $69 is $16 below Hiver's annual Elite. On the 12-month dimension the gap is wider still: 20 Elite seats bought through AWS at $708 each would be $14,160 a year against $20,400 buying 20 Elite seats at $85 from Hiver directly, a $6,240 difference.

Do not read that as a $6,240 discount waiting to be claimed. These are the old tiers, and the old tiers had less in them: the AWS descriptions define Lite as "All the essential tools for getting started with customer service", Pro as "SLAs, CSAT and analytics" and Elite as "Custom access control, round robin assignment and uptime SLA", with no mention of the AI agents, AI QA or omnichannel that Hiver now sells. The listing also predates the Omni/Gmail split entirely; its own note still reads "GMail account is mandatory to use Hiver".

What it is worth is a question to ask in a sales conversation. A vendor with two live price lists at two prices is a vendor who can be asked which one applies to you, and the AWS one is a documented, dated, purchasable answer rather than a negotiating claim. If you buy through AWS Marketplace anyway, for committed-spend drawdown or procurement reasons, it is worth pricing both.

Two other marketplaces, checked the same day: Hiver has a Google Workspace Marketplace listing (four and a half stars from 63 ratings, 266k+ installs, listing last updated 8 January 2025) whose pricing line reads only "Free of charge trial" with no plan prices on it. There is no hiverhq listing on Microsoft's Azure Marketplace, a search for "hiver" returns only an unrelated "Hiver HRM" from a different publisher, and none on Salesforce AgentExchange.

Which Hiver pricing pages are out of date?

The two pages ranking beside this one both carry a Free $0 plan for Hiver. Neither Hiver pricing page has one today. Featurebase's page, last updated 16 December 2025, also lists Pro at $45, Elite at $75 and a "$20/seat/month" AI add-on: all three are wrong against the live page, where Pro is $55 annually, Elite is $85, and the AI is not an add-on at all. eesel's page, last edited 17 June 2026, has the three current prices right and keeps the Free tier.

That is not a swipe at either. It is the ordinary half-life of a pricing page, and it is why the check date on any Hiver price matters as much as the number.

How does Hiver pricing compare with Front, Help Scout, Freshdesk and Zendesk?

Genuinely comparable shared-inbox and help-desk products, priced for a 10-agent team on annual billing, with each vendor's AI line stated separately.

ProductSeats, 10 agents / monthAI billingNotable constraint
Hiver Growth$250 ($25 × 10)Included in the seatSeats sold in blocks of 5 above 5
Hiver Pro$550 ($55 × 10)Included in the seatSame block rule
Front Starter$250 ($25 × 10)Autopilot from $0.05 a conversationStarter is single-channel and caps at 10 seats
Help Scout Standard$250 ($25 × 10)AI Answers $0.75 per resolutionPlan user caps: 25 on Standard
Freshdesk Growth$190 ($19 × 10)Freddy AI Copilot $29/agent/mo; 500 one-time AI Agent sessions, then $49/100Copilot is Pro and Enterprise only
Zendesk Suite Team$550 ($55 × 10)Per automated resolution, $1.50 committed / $2.00 pay-as-you-goResolution allowance is $2 a seat a month on Team

Hiver and Front and Help Scout all land on the same $250 for ten seats, which tells you the entry price in this category is settled. Where they part is the AI line, and that is where Hiver's incentive is unusual: a vendor billing per resolution earns more when its AI does more, while Hiver earns the same whether its AI agent answers nothing or everything. For a buyer that is the safer side of the table, and for Hiver it means AI volume is a cost, not a revenue line, which is the honest reason to expect the caps to arrive eventually.

If you are choosing between these rather than pricing one, our Front vs Hiver and Freshdesk vs Hiver comparisons set them side by side on features, what Hiver's AI actually does goes deeper on the agent, and the best shared inbox software roundup covers the wider field. The same exercise on the closest rivals is in our Front pricing, Help Scout pricing and Freshdesk pricing breakdowns.

What do Hiver reviewers say about the price?

On G2, Hiver in Gmail scores 4.6 out of 5 from 1,284 reviews, and on AWS Marketplace 4.6 from 1,278. Both checked 22 September 2026. What is notable is what is absent: G2's mined cons for Hiver are Email Issues (72 mentions), Missing Features (47), Limited Features (34), Slow Loading (32) and Bug Issues (28). Cost does not make the list, which it does for several products in this category.

Where price does come up, it is about the plan changes rather than the level. Max G., a small-business reviewer, gave two stars and wrote: "Hiver is continuously changing their plans. Negatively. Moving features to more expensive tiers, arbitrarily increasing the pricing of their plans, and then adding handicap features to lower level plans in order to force users to accept a deteriorated performance or otherwise upgrade." A verified user in health, wellness and fitness gave four and a half stars and a more measured version of the same point on 20 November 2023: "Hiver's Lite plan starts at $15 per user per month when billed annually, but it does not include all features, which can be a significant limitation. The higher-tier plans are disproportionately more expensive compared to the features they offer."

That second quote is a small piece of evidence in its own right. $15 a user a month annually is exactly the Lite figure AWS Marketplace still prints, and the entry price on hiverhq.com today is $25. The reviewers describing plan churn were describing something real.

How we researched this

We read both Hiver pricing pages in a real Chrome session on 22 September 2026, because hiverhq.com answers a headless browser with a "Confirm you are human" interstitial and returns no prices at all. We checked the dollar sign on every figure rather than assuming it, since Hiver is headquartered in India and several vendors in this category serve local currency by IP. We clicked the Monthly toggle instead of inferring the monthly rate from a discount badge, and we pulled the Voice pooling and overage line out of the rendered DOM after finding it was in a tooltip that the page's visible text does not contain. We searched AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace, Salesforce AgentExchange and the Google Workspace Marketplace before writing anything about what is or is not listed, which is how the old AWS price list turned up. We did not get a sales quote, so we cannot tell you what Hiver discounts in practice, whether the AWS tiers are still sold to new buyers, or what happens to an unmetered AI agent at very high volume.

Where does an AI agent layer like Macha fit?

Macha does not connect to Hiver, and this is a Hiver pricing guide, so this stays short and accurate. Macha is an AI agent layer that sits on top of a help desk a team already runs (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom), and it never replaces the desk underneath it. If Hiver is your shared inbox, we are not a component of that stack.

The pricing contrast is the useful part. Hiver bills per seat and bundles the AI; Macha bills per ticket and has no seat line at all: $299 a month for 750 tickets, about $0.40 a ticket, with setup and monitoring by the Macha team included and $50 of free usage, no credit card, to try it. A ticket is one thread with one person, charged once however many replies it takes. Which model is cheaper depends entirely on the ratio of people to volume, and the seat-block rule is the reason: a six-person team paying for ten Hiver seats is paying for headcount it does not have, where a volume meter charges for work that actually happened. You can see the whole rate card on our pricing page, or start a trial and spend the $50 before deciding anything.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Hiver cost? Growth is $25 per user per month billed annually and $35 billed monthly; Pro is $55 and $65; Elite is $85 and $95. Both of Hiver's product lines, Hiver Omni and Hiver in Gmail, carry the same three prices. The Voice add-on, available on Omni, is $30 per voice seat a month. Checked 22 September 2026.

Does Hiver have a free plan? Not on its pricing pages as of 22 September 2026. The only free route Hiver names is a 7-day trial that gives you the Elite plan with no credit card, after which, in its own words, "your account will be suspended" unless you upgrade; you can reactivate within 7 days of the trial ending. Several third-party pricing pages still list a Free $0 Hiver tier.

Can a seven-person team buy exactly seven Hiver seats? No. Seven is not a buyable block, so the team buys 10 seats. On Pro at $55 a seat billed annually that is $6,600 a year, or $78.57 a month per working agent, with $1,980 a year going to three empty seats.

What is the minimum number of Hiver seats? Two. After that the seat counts are fixed blocks: Hiver's pricing FAQ says you "can increase from 2 to 5, and then in increments of 5 seats (10, 15, 20, and so on)". Three, four, seven, eight and nine seats are not on that list, so a seven-person team pays for ten.

Is Hiver's AI included in the price? Yes, on every plan. AI Agents, AI Copilot, Skills and the AI Knowledge Builder are listed on the entry Growth card, and the AI panel on the pricing page is marked ALL PLANS. Hiver publishes no per-resolution price, credit pack or session allowance for them. AI QA and AI Insights are the exceptions to the flat treatment: both sit on the Elite tier.

What is the difference between Hiver Omni and Hiver in Gmail? Price, nothing. Hiver in Gmail suits you if Gmail is where your team already works: it runs as a Chrome extension inside your existing Gmail or Google Workspace account and is built around email. Hiver Omni is a standalone platform that works with Gmail, Outlook and other providers and brings email, live chat, Slack, voice, WhatsApp and social into one workspace. Voice is an Omni-only add-on.

How much does Hiver Voice cost? $30 per voice seat per month, including 1,000 minutes per voice seat. The minutes are pooled across all your voice seats rather than capped per seat, and usage above the pool is charged at $0.03 a minute. That line appears only in a tooltip on the pricing page.

Why does AWS Marketplace show different Hiver prices? Because the listing carries Hiver's previous price list. On 22 September 2026 the AWS Marketplace listing sold by Hiver priced Lite at $19, Pro at $49 and Elite at $69 per user per month on a 1-month contract, and $180, $468 and $708 a year on a 12-month contract. Lite is not a tier on hiverhq.com, where the entry plan is Growth at $25 annually. The AWS tiers describe an older, smaller feature set, so treat the gap as a question for sales rather than a discount.

Is annual billing worth it with Hiver? On Growth, unusually so: $25 against $35 is a 28.6% saving, which is roughly double the category norm. It narrows as you go up, to 15.4% on Pro and 10.5% on Elite. A five-person team on Growth saves $600 a year by committing.
