What Are the Best eesel AI Alternatives in 2026?
eesel AI's pricing page now sells monthly credit batches, from $299 for 500 credits to $1,899 for 5,000, where one ticket or chat is one credit, so its per-ticket cost runs from about $0.60 down to $0.38 depending on the batch you buy. The best alternatives depend on what you're replacing it for: myAskAI if price is the whole question, Intercom Fin or Fini if you'd rather pay only for resolved tickets, Macha if you want a per-ticket agent set up for you, and your help desk's own agent if you'd rather not add a vendor at all.
Key takeaways
- The best eesel AI alternatives in 2026 are Intercom Fin, myAskAI, Macha and Fini for agents that plug into an existing help desk, and Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk or HubSpot agents for native ones.
- eesel AI's pricing page on October 5, 2026 sells monthly batches from $299 for 500 credits to $1,899 for 5,000 credits, where one ticket or one chat counts as one credit.
- eesel replaced the pay-as-you-go rate of $0.40 per task that its pricing page showed on September 24, 2026, so small teams now pay about $0.60 a ticket and the largest batch about $0.38.
- Macha bills about $0.40 per ticket, from $299/month for 750 tickets, which comes in under eesel at 750 and 3,000 tickets a month but over it at 1,000 and 5,000 tickets.
- Zendesk AI agents charge $1.50 per automated resolution committed or $2.00 pay-as-you-go, and Intercom Fin charges $0.99 per outcome with a 50-outcome monthly minimum on other help desks.

Prices are as published on each vendor's page when we read it (October 5, 2026, except where the method notes say September). Confirm before you buy.
Disclosure: Macha publishes this blog and is entry 3 in this list. It's described against the same five criteria as every other tool, sits where those criteria put it, and carries a "where it falls short" line like everyone else.
Why do teams look for an eesel AI alternative?
eesel does several things well, and it's worth being specific about them before listing reasons to leave. Its integrations page lists nine help desks: Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Gorgias, Help Scout, Front, Salesforce and Jira Service Management. That's the widest help-desk list of any tool on this page. It adds WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and SMS, Slack and Teams for internal questions, six ecommerce platforms from Shopify to Amazon, and EU or US data residency. Seats and agents are unlimited. And the billing is honest about noise: eesel's pricing FAQ says you only pay for tickets the agent actually works on, so spam and auto-replies you tell it to skip never count.
Teams shop around for five reasons, and most are about price shape and fit:
- The pricing model just changed. On September 24, 2026 eesel's pricing page read "Pay per task starting at $0.40. No platform fee, no per-seat fees, no monthly minimum." On October 5 the same page sells fixed monthly batches: 500 credits for $299, 1,000 for $499, 1,500 for $699, 2,500 for $999, 3,500 for $1,349 and 5,000 for $1,899. A team handling 500 tickets a month went from about $200 to $299. Teams at 2,500 tickets and up pay roughly what they did before.
- Unused credits don't roll over. They reset each billing month. That's normal for a batch model, and it means the vendor earns on the capacity you buy and don't use. (Macha's monthly ticket tiers have the same shape, so this isn't a reason to switch to us in particular.)
- You pay for tickets worked, not tickets resolved. One credit is spent when the agent works a ticket, even if a person ends up finishing it. Buyers who want to pay only on success look at Fin, Fini, Zendesk or HubSpot.
- It's a generalist. eesel's product menu covers a helpdesk agent, a blog writer, an ecommerce agent and Slack questions, and its integrations page has a whole section on WordPress, Search Console and Ahrefs. If all you want is support automation inside one desk, a narrower product or your desk's native agent may be simpler to run.
- Compliance paperwork is still in progress. eesel's pricing page says "SOC 2 Type II is underway." HIPAA with a signed BAA is listed on its custom Enterprise plan.
For a full breakdown of the product itself, see our complete eesel AI guide, which predates the October pricing change.
How did we choose and compare these alternatives?
We included a tool if it does what eesel's helpdesk agent does: reads a customer's ticket or chat, uses your knowledge and connected systems, and replies or resolves inside a help desk. Tools that only route tickets or only draft text for a human were left out. Each entry is described on the same five points:
- Billing unit: what you're charged for (ticket, outcome, session, credit).
- Entry price: the lowest number the vendor publishes, and what it requires first.
- Where it runs: on your current desk, or only on its own.
- Who it fits: the team that recognizes itself in the description.
- Watch-out: the one thing a buyer should check before signing.
The list is grouped, not ranked. Group one is the like-for-like replacement: an agent that plugs into the help desk you already run, as eesel does. Group two is the agent your help desk already sells you, which removes a vendor but ties you to that desk. Numbers are for reference, not a score.
The single most important column is the billing unit. Per-resolution pricing earns the vendor more as your automation rate climbs, which lines its incentive up with yours on quality but means your bill grows with success. Per-ticket pricing, eesel's model and ours, earns the same whether the agent resolves the ticket or hands it off, which makes the bill predictable and puts the burden on you to point the agent at tickets it can actually finish.
Which tools plug into the help desk you already use?
These are the closest substitutes for eesel: a separate vendor whose agent works inside an existing desk.
1. Intercom Fin
What it is: Intercom's AI agent, sold both on Intercom's own help desk and as a standalone agent for other desks. Salesforce completed its acquisition of Fin on September 10, 2026, and cites a 76% average resolution rate, a vendor figure worth testing on your own queue. Our Intercom Fin explainer covers the product in depth.
Billing unit and entry price: $0.99 per outcome. An outcome is counted when the customer confirms the issue is solved, doesn't ask for more help after Fin's answer, or when Fin completes a workflow (Intercom calls these Procedures), including workflows that end in a handoff. On a help desk other than Intercom there's a minimum of 50 outcomes a month. On Intercom's own desk you pay for seats instead: $29 a seat billed annually on Essential, though Intercom is running a pricing test that shows $19, and the load we captured showed the test price.
Who it fits: teams that want outcome pricing and a large vendor, especially those already on Intercom.
Watch-out: the "Fin with your current helpdesk" card on fin.ai has a Contact sales button and no trial button, so a team leaving eesel's self-serve signup for standalone Fin is walking into a sales process. And the outcome definition includes handoffs after a completed workflow, so not every billed outcome is a ticket nobody touched.
2. myAskAI
What it is: a lower-priced AI agent that runs inside Intercom, Zendesk, HubSpot, Gorgias, Freshdesk and Freshchat (the help desks in its pricing calculator). It's the most direct price competitor to eesel and markets itself on cost: its page says "1/5th the price of Fin, Zendesk AI, Freddy, Breeze of Gorgias AI."
Billing unit and entry price: a monthly ticket allowance. Pro is $199 a month for 1,000 tickets, then about $0.12 an extra ticket up to 5,000 a month. Scale is $499 for 2,000 tickets, then about $0.10 each. Enterprise starts at $999. Annual billing takes 33% off, and there's a 30-day free trial with no card. The page also offers "60% AI resolution. Or your money back."
Who it fits: teams whose tickets are mostly answerable from a help center and who want the lowest published bill. At 1,000 tickets a month, Pro is $199 against eesel's $499.
Watch-out: Pro's own card says "No chat/email support available, AI support only via Echo," caps team seats at five, and sells branding removal and API, Slack and Teams access as $49-a-month add-ons. SOC-2 Type II is listed from Scale up. The "~" in front of its overage rates means those are approximations on the vendor's own page. We compared it with eesel and Macha in more detail in Macha vs eesel vs myAskAI.
3. Macha
What it is: this is our product. Macha is an AI agent layer that connects to Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom over each desk's API. An agent is a set of written instructions plus the tools it's allowed to call: read the ticket and its history, search connected knowledge, look up an order in Shopify or a payment in Stripe through built-in connectors, then post a reply, an internal note, tags or field changes. Anything else with an HTTP API is added as a custom API tool that Macha's team sets up during onboarding. See Macha on Zendesk for how it sits in a desk.
Billing unit and entry price: per ticket, the same unit eesel uses. A ticket is one thread between Macha and one person, charged once no matter how many messages it takes. The tiers are $299 a month for 750 tickets, $599 for 1,500, $1,199 for 3,000, $1,999 for 5,000, $2,999 for 7,500 and $3,999 for 10,000, with custom pricing above that. That works out to about $0.40 per ticket at every tier, billed monthly, with unlimited seats and no overages: agents pause at the limit unless you add a top-up. Setup, agent building and monitoring by the Macha team are included rather than sold separately. The trial is $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Who it fits: teams on one of the desks above who want an agent that takes actions (refund lookups, order status, subscription changes) and would rather have it built for them than configure it alone. Against eesel the price comparison flips with volume: Macha is $299 at 750 tickets where eesel needs its $499 batch, and $1,199 at 3,000 where eesel needs $1,349, but eesel is cheaper at exactly 1,000 ($499 against $599) and 5,000 ($1,899 against $1,999).
Where it falls short: eesel's help-desk list is longer, so check yours is in the list above first. Macha has no voice channel, and its own customer-facing channels are a website chatbot and live chat, where eesel also lists WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and SMS. It has no G2 or Capterra profile to check us against. Our security page says SOC 2 certification is in progress with completion expected in December 2026, so a team that left eesel for want of a finished SOC 2 report won't find one here yet. And there's no opt-in overage like eesel's $0.80 credit: when the month's tickets run out, agents stop until you top up or move up a tier.
4. Fini
What it is: an AI agent that plugs into Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Salesforce, Gorgias, LiveChat, Front and Freshdesk, sold with implementation included.
Billing unit and entry price: per resolved ticket. Growth is $0.89 per resolved ticket with up to 3,000 tickets a month, Scale is $0.69 with up to 10,000, and Enterprise is $0.49 with no cap. Fini says escalations to your team are free, greetings, spam and abandoned sessions aren't billable, and a conversation reopened within 72 hours isn't billed twice. A flat per-conversation rate is available on request. Two- and three-year terms take 15% to 25% off.
Who it fits: mid-market teams that want to pay only on success and like having implementation in the price.
Watch-out: the page describes "one plan" covering the platform, implementation and a monthly ticket allowance, but doesn't print what that plan costs per month, and the 90-day free pilot is for Enterprise only. Expect a sales conversation before you see a full number.
5. Siena AI
What it is: an ecommerce-focused AI agent that runs on your existing help desk, aimed at retail and DTC brands (its pricing page quotes Spanx's VP of global CX).
Billing unit and entry price: a $750-a-month platform fee plus an "Automation Pack" at $0.90 per automated ticket, with onboarding and Slack support included. At 1,000 automated tickets that's $1,650 a month.
Who it fits: larger ecommerce brands that want a retail specialist and can absorb a fixed fee.
Watch-out: the $750 fee is charged before a single ticket is automated, which makes Siena the most expensive way on this page to run a few hundred tickets. Pricing beyond those two lines comes through a form.
What does each alternative cost at your volume?
Sticker prices don't compare across billing units, so here's the same month at four volumes. Assumptions: the agent works every ticket in the volume, each ticket is one credit or one ticket, and for outcome-priced tools 40% of tickets end as a billable outcome. That 40% is an assumption for illustration, not a benchmark; plug in your own rate.
| Tickets the agent works a month | eesel AI | Macha | myAskAI Pro | Intercom Fin (40% billed) | Zendesk AI agents (40%, committed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 750 | $499 | $299 | $199 | $297 | $450 + seats |
| 1,000 | $499 | $599 | $199 | $396 | $600 + seats |
| 3,000 | $1,349 | $1,199 | about $439 | $1,188 | $1,800 + seats |
| 5,000 | $1,899 | $1,999 | about $679 | $1,980 | $3,000 + seats |
How the cells are built:
- eesel: the smallest batch that covers the volume. At 750, the 500-credit batch plus 250 overage credits at $0.80 is also $499 ($299 + $200), so the answer is the same either way. At 3,000, the 2,500 batch plus 500 overage credits would be $1,399, so the 3,500 batch at $1,349 is cheaper.
- Macha: the smallest tier that covers the volume: 750 tickets ($299), 1,500 ($599), 3,000 ($1,199), 5,000 ($1,999).
- myAskAI Pro: $199 covers 1,000 tickets; above that, about $0.12 each. 3,000 is $199 + 2,000 × $0.12 = $439; 5,000 is $199 + 4,000 × $0.12 = $679.
- Intercom Fin: 40% of the volume × $0.99 (300 × $0.99 = $297 at 750). The 50-outcome minimum never binds at these volumes.
- Zendesk: 40% of the volume × $1.50, before Suite seats and before the allowance Zendesk includes per agent seat.
myAskAI is far cheaper at every volume, which is why it markets on price; the question is whether its Pro plan's limits suit you. The per-ticket tools (eesel, Macha) trade places at each step because their tier boundaries sit at different volumes: if you're at 1,000 or 5,000 tickets eesel is $100 cheaper, and at 750 or 3,000 Macha is $200 or $150 cheaper. Fin's bill passes eesel's only when your billed-outcome rate does; at 40% it sits below eesel at three of the four volumes and slightly above it at 5,000. We go through the per-resolution versus per-ticket math in more depth in help desk AI vs a standalone AI agent, and across 17 vendors in the cheapest AI customer support agent.
Which help desks have their own AI agent?
If what you want from leaving eesel is fewer vendors, your help desk already sells an agent. You give up eesel's cross-desk reach, and your bill grows with resolutions instead of tickets.
6. Zendesk AI agents
Billing unit and entry price: per automated resolution: $1.50 on a committed volume, $2.00 pay-as-you-go, on top of seats (Suite Team is $55 an agent a month billed annually). Since May 18, 2026, Zendesk splits AI conversations into three tiers, and only a Verified resolution, confirmed by an LLM check after the conversation ends, draws on your allowance. Assisted escalations and Contained resolutions don't.
Who it fits: teams committed to Zendesk who'd rather buy from the vendor they already pay, and who value the verified-resolution check.
Watch-out: it's the highest per-resolution rate here, it only runs on Zendesk, and Zendesk's absorption of Ultimate and Forethought (acquisition completed March 26, 2026) means packaging is still moving.
7. Gorgias AI Agent
Billing unit and entry price: bundled with the help desk. On October 5, monthly plans were Starter $40 ($10 help desk with 50 tickets plus $30 AI Agent with 30 automated interactions), Basic $90, Pro $550 (2,000 tickets, 190 interactions) and Advanced $1,430 (5,000 tickets, 530 interactions). On September 24 the page priced interactions past the bundle at $1.50 each.
Who it fits: Shopify brands already on Gorgias. Its store data and order actions are its strength. Our Gorgias AI agent roundup compares it with third-party options.
Watch-out: Gorgias's billing docs say you're charged both a ticket fee and an automation fee when AI Agent answers a ticket and doesn't hand it over, so one resolved ticket moves two meters. That's the incentive of a help desk that sells both halves.
8. Freshdesk Freddy AI Agent
Billing unit and entry price: per session, sold at $49 per pack of 100 sessions. A session is every interaction between one customer and the agent inside a 24-hour window, so a customer who writes back on three separate days uses three sessions. New accounts on Growth, Pro or Enterprise get 500 complimentary sessions once.
Who it fits: Freshdesk teams with short chat-style conversations that end within a day. Our Freshdesk AI agent roundup covers the alternatives on that desk.
Watch-out: Freshworks' FAQ says previewing a bot while you build it consumes sessions, unused sessions expire at the end of the billing cycle, and when sessions run out on a self-service widget the agent stops without handing over to a person.
9. HubSpot Breeze Customer Agent
Billing unit and entry price: 50 HubSpot credits per resolved conversation, which is $0.50 at list and about $0.45 with annually billed credit packs ($9 per 1,000). It requires Service Hub Professional ($90 a seat a month billed annually) and a one-time $1,500 Professional Onboarding. HubSpot's knowledge base lists the customer agent on Professional and Enterprise subscriptions. Our Breeze guide has the setup detail.
Who it fits: teams whose CRM is HubSpot and who want the agent to read contact and deal records natively.
Watch-out: the per-resolution rate is low, but the seat requirement and onboarding fee make the first month expensive for a small team, and capacity packs are cancellable only at the end of the contract term.
How do you choose an eesel AI alternative?
Start from the reason you're leaving:
- The new batch price is too high at your volume: myAskAI Pro if your tickets are mostly knowledge questions; Macha if you're at 750 or 3,000 tickets and want actions set up for you.
- You want to pay only when the agent resolves: Fini or Intercom Fin across desks, or your desk's own agent. Model your resolution rate first, because that's what your bill follows.
- You want fewer vendors: the native agent on your desk (Zendesk, Gorgias, Freddy or Breeze), accepting that it stays on that desk.
- You're a large ecommerce brand: Siena or Gorgias, depending on whether you're on Gorgias already.
- You need a finished SOC 2 Type II report now: check myAskAI's Scale plan or your help desk's own agent; eesel says SOC 2 Type II is underway, and Macha's security page says its SOC 2 certification is expected to complete in December 2026.
If none of those apply, eesel may still be the right tool. Its desk coverage and channel list are broader than anything in group one.
Where Macha fits
Macha fits teams already running Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom whose tickets need the agent to act (look up the Shopify order, check the Stripe charge, tag and route the ticket) and who want Macha's team to build and monitor that agent with them. It's priced on the same unit as eesel, about $0.40 per ticket, starting at $299/month for 750 tickets, so the switch doesn't change how you budget. If you're on a help desk outside that list, or you need voice, eesel or a native agent will fit better. You can try it on your own tickets with $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Frequently asked questions
How much does eesel AI cost in 2026? eesel's pricing page on October 5, 2026 lists a free plan with 100 credits and a Teammate plan from $299 a month for 500 credits up to $1,899 for 5,000. One ticket or chat is one credit. Overage is optional at $0.80 a credit, and paying a year upfront gets two months free.
Did eesel AI change its pricing? Yes. On September 24, 2026 its pricing page offered pay-per-task from $0.40 with no monthly minimum and a $50 free trial. By October 5 it had moved to fixed monthly credit batches and a 100-credit free plan. We didn't find an entry for the change in eesel's public changelog when we checked.
What is the cheapest eesel AI alternative? On published prices, myAskAI Pro at $199 a month for 1,000 tickets. It limits Pro to five seats, AI-only support and about $0.12 per extra ticket, and sells some features as add-ons.
Is there an eesel AI alternative that only charges for resolved tickets? Yes. Intercom Fin charges $0.99 per outcome, Fini $0.89 to $0.49 per resolved ticket, Zendesk $1.50 or $2.00 per verified resolution, and HubSpot 50 credits per resolved conversation.
Which eesel AI alternative works with the most help desks? None in this list matches eesel's nine. Fini lists eight, including Salesforce and LiveChat. myAskAI lists six in its calculator. Native agents run on one desk each.
Is Macha cheaper than eesel AI? It depends on volume. Macha is cheaper at 750 tickets ($299 against $499) and 3,000 ($1,199 against $1,349); eesel is cheaper at 1,000 ($499 against $599) and 5,000 ($1,899 against $1,999).
How we researched this
- Sources and access dates: eesel.ai/pricing (loaded four times on October 5, 2026 with the same result), eesel.ai/integrations and eesel.ai/changelog (October 5); myAskAI pricing, Fini pricing, Fin pricing, Siena pricing, Gorgias pricing, Macha pricing and Macha security (October 5); Zendesk's About automated resolution tiers, Freshworks' Freddy AI Agent sessions FAQs and HubSpot's Understand the customer agent (October 5). Every screenshot on this page was captured on October 5, 2026 in a US-locale browser.
- Earlier readings: eesel's $0.40-per-task page, Intercom's seat prices and pricing test, Gorgias's $1.50 overage and its billable-ticket doc, HubSpot's Service Hub prices and the Zendesk $1.50 and $2.00 rates were read on September 24 and 25, 2026 for our pricing index. Zendesk's, HubSpot's and Freshworks' pricing pages served local currency from our location on October 5, so we didn't re-screenshot them and used the September US readings.
- Vendor self-reports: Fin's 76% resolution rate, myAskAI's "60% AI resolution" guarantee and its "1/5th the price" line, and Fini's statement that escalations, spam and greetings are never billed are the vendors' own claims.
- Arithmetic: eesel per credit: $299 / 500 = $0.598; $499 / 1,000 = $0.499; $999 / 2,500 = $0.3996; $1,899 / 5,000 = $0.3798. A 500-ticket month at the old rate: 500 × $0.40 = $200. Siena: $750 + 1,000 × $0.90 = $1,650. HubSpot: 50 credits × $9 / 1,000 = $0.45. The cost table's arithmetic is listed under it.
- What we ran and what we didn't: this page compares published pricing and documentation. We didn't run eesel, any alternative or Macha for it, and G2 and Capterra blocked automated reads, so no star ratings are quoted. The 40% outcome rate and the four volumes are synthetic assumptions, not customer data.
To see the per-ticket model on your own tickets, start a trial with $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit; the tiers are on the pricing page.
