What Are the Best Fini AI Alternatives in 2026? 8 Options Compared
Fini charges $0.89 per resolved ticket on its Growth plan and $0.49 only on Enterprise, according to its pricing page on October 8, 2026, and it includes implementation on every plan. The best alternatives depend on why you're looking: Macha if you want the agent built and run for you on your current help desk at about $0.40 a ticket, Intercom Fin if you want a large vendor's outcome pricing, eesel AI if you'd rather set it up yourself, Decagon, Sierra or Ada for enterprise contracts, and Zendesk's or Gorgias's own agent if you'd rather not add a vendor.
Key takeaways
- The best Fini AI alternatives in 2026 are Macha, Intercom Fin and eesel AI on your current help desk, Decagon, Sierra and Ada for enterprise contracts, and Zendesk or Gorgias native agents.
- Fini's pricing page on October 8, 2026 lists $0.89 per resolved ticket on Growth, $0.69 on Scale and $0.49 on Enterprise, and does not print the monthly plan fee.
- Fini's 90-day money-back guarantee applies only to new enterprise customers handling over 1 million tickets a year with at least 100,000 AI-handled interactions in the first 90 days.
- Macha bills about $0.40 per ticket from $299/month for 750 tickets, including setup by the Macha team and a dedicated success manager, and costs less per resolved ticket than Fini Growth's $0.89 rate above a 45% resolution rate.
- Fini assigns a dedicated AI engineer from its Scale plan, while its Growth plan, for up to 3,000 tickets a month, comes with shared customer success.
How do the Fini AI alternatives compare at a glance?
Eight tools against Fini as the baseline, grouped by how they reach your tickets: agents that plug into the help desk you already run (1 to 3), enterprise vendors with their own deployment teams (4 to 6), and agents built into a help desk (7 and 8). Macha is first because its team sets up and runs the agent for you, on the trial and every plan.

Prices are as published on each vendor's page on October 8, 2026, except the contract estimates for Decagon, Sierra and Ada, which are third-party figures dated in the method section. Confirm before you buy.
Disclosure: Macha publishes this blog and is entry 1. The list is ranked for teams that want the agent built and run for them, which is the case Macha is built for. Every entry, Macha included, gets the same five criteria and a watch-out.
What does Fini sell in October 2026?
Fini (usefini.com) is an AI agent from a Y Combinator company that plugs into an existing help desk and resolves tickets across chat, email and voice. Several of its strengths are things no alternative on this page matches, so they come first.
Pricing. One plan per tier "covers the platform, implementation, and a monthly allowance of tickets." Growth is $0.89 per resolved ticket with up to 3,000 tickets a month, Scale is $0.69 with up to 10,000, and Enterprise is $0.49 with no cap. Past the allowance, extra resolutions bill at the same rate, and a per-conversation rate is available on request. Escalations to your team are free, and greetings, spam and abandoned sessions are never billed. The page doesn't print the plan fee. The plan is "billed in advance", but no monthly figure appears. eesel's August 19, 2026 review of Fini put Growth at $3,000 a month billed annually, a third-party number Fini hasn't confirmed.
Setup and support. "Implementation Included" sits on every plan. The person you work with depends on the tier: Growth lists "Shared customer success", Scale adds "White-glove onboarding" and a "Dedicated AI engineer", and Enterprise a "Dedicated engineer pod" with a 15-minute SLA. Fini's homepage says "Live in 14 days, fully autonomous in 30."
The guarantee. Fini's homepage advertises a "Zero-Pay Guarantee: 90% resolution in 90 days, or you pay $0." The terms page narrows it. To qualify you must be a new Fini enterprise customer, handle 1M+ annual tickets, and allow at least 100,000 AI-handled interactions during the 90 days. It can be claimed once, doesn't apply to pilots or discounted deals, and Fini calls it "a promotional program" that it reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate at any time. A team at 3,000 tickets a month handles 36,000 a year, so it sits well outside it.
Where Fini is strong. Its homepage lists SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 27001, GDPR and "HIPAA · BAA-ready", and its pricing FAQ says compliance is included on every plan. It sells voice on every plan at $0.89 per answered call for the first 10,000 calls. Its case studies name customers with numbers, such as Peaksware (a support queue cut by 70%+), Atlas (automation on key fintech journeys raised from about 15% to 70-80%), Column Tax and LISA Hockey. And it reports 4.9 out of 5 on G2, where eesel counted 13 reviews on August 19.
One inconsistency to know about. Fini publishes an llms.txt file for AI answer engines, last updated September 24, 2026. It says pricing "starts at $0.49 per resolution, one flat rate ... no named Growth/Scale/Enterprise tiers." The live pricing page has those three named tiers. So when an AI answer tells you Fini "starts at $0.49", it's quoting the Enterprise rate.

Why do teams look for a Fini alternative?
Most of the reasons are about size and fit:
- The headline offers are written for enterprises. The $0.49 rate, the 90-day free pilot and the money-back guarantee all sit on Enterprise or require 1 million tickets a year. A team at 1,000 to 10,000 tickets a month is buying Growth or Scale.
- The bill isn't visible up front. Per-resolution rates are public, but the plan fee that covers the allowance isn't, so you need a sales conversation to see the monthly number.
- A dedicated person starts at Scale. On Growth, which covers up to 3,000 tickets a month, the pricing page lists shared customer success.
- Per-resolution pricing grows with success. Fini earns more as its agent resolves more, which aligns its incentive with yours on quality, and means "what counts as a resolution" is the clause your bill depends on. Fini defines it as an issue solved end to end with no human handover.
- Fewer teams need its strongest features. Voice, HIPAA and PCI DSS matter a great deal in healthcare and payments, and much less to an ecommerce or SaaS team answering order and account questions by email and chat.
How we chose and compared them
We included a tool if it does what Fini does: reads a customer's ticket or chat, uses your knowledge and connected systems, and replies or resolves inside a help desk. Each entry covers the same five points:
- Billing unit: what you're charged for (ticket, outcome, resolution, contract).
- Entry price: the lowest number the vendor publishes, and what it requires first.
- Setup: who builds and runs the agent, and on which plan.
- Who it fits: the team that should recognize itself in the description.
- Watch-out: the one thing to check before signing.
Setup gets its own column because it's where Fini competes hardest. Fini, the enterprise vendors and Macha all build the agent for you; Intercom Fin, eesel and the native agents mostly leave it to your team. The list is ranked for buyers who want it done for them.
Agents that plug into your current help desk
1. Macha
What it is: this is our product. Macha is an AI agent layer that connects to Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom over each desk's API. An agent is a set of written instructions plus the tools it may call: read the ticket and its history, search connected knowledge, look up an order in Shopify or a payment in Stripe through built-in connectors, then post a reply, an internal note, tags or field changes. Write actions include Shopify refunds and order cancellations and Stripe refunds and subscription cancellations. Anything else with an HTTP API becomes a custom API tool that Macha's team sets up during onboarding. See Macha on Zendesk for how it sits in a desk.
Billing unit and entry price: per ticket. A ticket is one thread between Macha and one person, charged once no matter how many messages it takes. The tiers are $299 a month for 750 tickets, $599 for 1,500, $1,199 for 3,000, $1,999 for 5,000, $2,999 for 7,500 and $3,999 for 10,000, with custom pricing above that, which is about $0.40 per ticket at every tier, billed monthly, with unlimited seats and no overages. The trial is $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Setup: Macha is the done-for-you option, on the trial and every plan. Your part is connecting your help desk and the tools your answers come from, about 15 minutes. The Macha team then analyzes about a month of your past tickets, builds the knowledge base and the agent, tests it on a sample of those tickets, and runs it in safe mode, with drafts posted as internal notes in your help desk, until the drafts are right. It goes live in under a week. The done-for-you setup page lists each step.
Here's an agent following its instructions in a help desk. In a September 2026 test on our d3v-macha Zendesk sandbox, a made-up customer asked to cancel an order placed 45 days earlier; the agent looked up the order, didn't call Cancel Order because its instructions set a 30-day window, and left an internal note for a person instead:
Who it fits: teams handling a few hundred to 10,000 tickets a month on one of the desks above who want the agent built for them without an enterprise contract. Against Fini the difference is who you get and when. Both include implementation, but Fini's dedicated engineer starts on Scale, while at Macha the about $0.40 per ticket pays for setup and a dedicated success manager from the $299 plan, who handles your changes after go-live: new categories, instruction edits, new tools. Nobody on your team has to manage the AI.
Where it falls short: Fini's help-desk list is longer, so check yours is in the list above first. Macha has no voice channel. Our security page says SOC 2 certification is in progress, expected December 2026, and there's no HIPAA offering, so a regulated team that needs those reports today should stay with Fini. Macha has no published guarantee and no body of G2 reviews to set against Fini's.
2. Intercom Fin
What it is: the AI agent from Fin, the company formerly called Intercom and owned by Salesforce since September 10, 2026. "Fin" and "Fini" are unrelated companies. Fin runs on Intercom's own help desk or on yours. Our Intercom Fin explainer covers the product.
Billing unit and entry price: $0.99 per outcome. An outcome is a resolution, a completed handoff Procedure, a disqualification or a self-serve routing; a qualification is $9.99. On a help desk other than Intercom there's a 50-outcome monthly minimum. The trial is 14 days with unlimited outcomes and no card.
Setup: self-serve on Intercom. Fin also sells Deployment Services, with a stated "sandbox on day 1, pilot in weeks, enterprise rollout in under 90 days"; the price isn't published.
Who it fits: teams already on Intercom, or teams that want outcome pricing from a large vendor.
Watch-out: the "Fin with your current helpdesk" option is "Contact sales", and outcomes include some handoffs, so not every billed outcome is a ticket nobody touched.
3. eesel AI
What it is: an AI agent that plugs into nine help desks, including Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, HubSpot, Gorgias, Front and Salesforce, with WhatsApp, Instagram and Slack channels. Our eesel AI guide has the detail.
Billing unit and entry price: monthly credit batches, where one ticket or chat is one credit: $299 for 500, $499 for 1,000, $699 for 1,500, up to $1,749 for 5,000 on October 8. There's a free plan with 100 credits.
Setup: self-serve. The pricing page offers "A dedicated person who looks after your setup" on Enterprise.
Who it fits: teams that want a wide help-desk list and are happy to configure and tune the agent themselves.
Watch-out: credits reset monthly, and the pricing page says "SOC 2 Type II is underway", so it won't replace Fini's certifications either. On price, $299 buys 750 tickets on Macha and 500 on eesel.
Enterprise vendors that implement for you
These three compete with Fini on the "we build it" promise, through their own deployment teams and sales-led contracts. None publishes a price: decagon.ai/pricing and sierra.ai/pricing returned 404 on October 8, and Ada's pricing link opens a demo form.
4. Decagon
What it is: an AI agent platform for large consumer brands across chat, email and voice. Workflows are written as natural-language "Agent Operating Procedures". Its careers page in October listed nine Agent Deployment Engineer openings, which tells you implementation is done by Decagon's staff.
Price: not published. Vendr's marketplace data showed a median contract of $432,750 a year across 12 purchases when we read it on September 25, 2026.
Who it fits: enterprises comparing Fini with heavyweight vendors. Our Decagon alternatives guide goes deeper.
Watch-out: a contract this size is a procurement project, not a trial.
5. Sierra
What it is: an AI agent platform that deploys one agent across chat, SMS, WhatsApp, email, voice and ChatGPT, with "outcome-based pricing" according to its homepage.
Price: not published. CloudTalk's July 2026 review reports contracts from about $150,000 a year and $1 to $2.50 per successful outcome; Sierra hasn't confirmed either figure.
Who it fits: large brands that want voice and chat from one vendor. See our Sierra alternatives guide.
Watch-out: the outcome definition is set per contract, so read it before you compare it with Fini's.
6. Ada
What it is: an AI customer service agent for large multi-channel operations, voice included.
Price: not published. Ada's pricing link opens a custom demo form that asks for your annual contact volume, starting at a "0 to 99,999" band. Vendr put the median buyer at $72,000 a year (page updated February 2026).
Who it fits: enterprises with high contact volume across channels. Our Ada alternatives guide compares it in depth.
Watch-out: the form's smallest band is up to 99,999 contacts a year, a signal of the buyer Ada expects.
Agents built into your help desk
If the goal is one vendor fewer, your help desk already sells an agent. You give up Fini's cross-desk reach and its implementation team.
7. Zendesk AI agents
Billing unit and entry price: per automated resolution: $1.50 on a committed volume and $2.00 pay-as-you-go on Zendesk's pricing page on October 8, on top of Suite seats. Since May 2026 only a Verified resolution, confirmed by an LLM check after the conversation ends, draws on your allowance; Zendesk explains the tiers in About automated resolution tiers.
Setup: self-serve in Zendesk, or through one of its implementation partners. Our Zendesk AI agents roundup covers the options on that desk.
Who it fits: Zendesk teams that would rather buy from the vendor they already pay.
Watch-out: $1.50 is the highest per-resolution rate on this page, and the agent only runs on Zendesk.
8. Gorgias AI Agent
Billing unit and entry price: sold with the help desk. On October 8 the Starter plan was $40 a month: $10 for the help desk with 50 tickets and $30 for AI Agent with 30 automated interactions. Pro was $550 a month with 2,000 tickets and 190 interactions, and Advanced $1,430 with 5,000 tickets and 530 interactions. On Starter, the AI Agent bundle is $30 for 30 interactions, $1.00 each.
Setup: self-serve in Gorgias. Our Gorgias AI agent roundup compares third-party options.
Who it fits: Shopify brands already on Gorgias.
Watch-out: Gorgias's billing docs say an AI-resolved ticket incurs both a ticket fee and an automation fee, so one resolution moves two meters.
What does each option cost per resolved ticket?
Sticker prices don't compare across billing units, so here's one month at 1,500 tickets, at three resolution rates. For per-ticket tools, cost per resolved ticket is the monthly price divided by the tickets resolved. For per-resolution tools, it's the rate. The resolution rates are assumptions for illustration, not benchmarks.
| Cost per resolved ticket, 1,500 tickets a month | 40% resolved (600) | 60% resolved (900) | 80% resolved (1,200) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Macha ($599 tier) | $1.00 | $0.67 | $0.50 |
| eesel AI ($699 batch) | $1.17 | $0.78 | $0.58 |
| Fini Growth, rate only | $0.89 | $0.89 | $0.89 |
| Fini Growth at a reported $3,000 a month plan fee | $5.00 | $3.33 | $2.50 |
| Fini Scale, rate only | $0.69 | $0.69 | $0.69 |
| Intercom Fin (off Intercom) | $0.99 | $0.99 | $0.99 |
| Zendesk AI agents (committed) | $1.50 + seats | $1.50 + seats | $1.50 + seats |
How the cells are built: Macha $599 / 600 = $1.00, / 900 = $0.67, / 1,200 = $0.50. eesel $699 / 600 = $1.17, / 900 = $0.78, / 1,200 = $0.58. Fini at the reported plan fee: $3,000 / 600 = $5.00, / 900 = $3.33, / 1,200 = $2.50. The others are the published rates.
The two Fini Growth rows are the range, because the plan fee is the number Fini doesn't print. Its pricing page says the plan covers "the platform, implementation, and a monthly allowance of tickets", is "billed in advance" (annually, quarterly or monthly), and that unused allowance "rolls forward one month". eesel's August 19, 2026 review reports Growth at $3,000 a month billed annually, with a "true monthly rate" of $3,600. If that's what you'd pay, a 1,500-ticket team buys an allowance it doesn't use, and the cost per resolved ticket is several times the $0.89 rate. If Fini bills only the resolutions you use, the rate-only row applies. Ask Fini which it is before you compare.
The pattern is the incentive in each model. A per-ticket price falls per resolution as your agent gets better, so the vendor's margin doesn't grow with your success. A per-resolution price stays flat, so your bill rises with every ticket the agent closes. Even on the rate alone, with no plan fee counted, Macha's about $0.40 per ticket is cheaper per resolved ticket above a 45% resolution rate on Growth ($0.40 / $0.89 = 45%), above 58% on Scale ($0.40 / $0.69) and above 82% on Enterprise ($0.40 / $0.49). Below those rates, and if Fini bills only resolutions, Fini's unit is the cheaper one. We go through the two models in per-action vs per-resolution pricing.
What do users say about Fini and the alternatives?
Public review evidence for this category is thin, and Fini's is thinner than its 4.9 suggests. eesel counted 13 G2 reviews for Fini at 4.9 on August 19, 2026, noted that most carry G2's "Source: Seller invite" flag, and found no Capterra listing. The same review quotes two Fini users on accuracy. Kai Moon, a success team lead at Wefunder: "Last week we saw a couple of cases where the bot told someone it took care of something it actually couldn't and didn't flag it." And a G2 reviewer, Jacqueline M.: "When Fini learns a new model, sometimes it gets a little loosey goosey and makes up features or processes that don't exist in our product." Two quotes don't make a pattern, but they're the failure to test for in any pilot.
For the alternatives, our own readings from September 2026: Intercom's G2 listing, which now covers Fin, showed 4.5 from 3,912 reviews on September 19. Decagon showed 4.8 from 30 G2 reviews and Sierra 4.5 from 130 the same week. Macha has no body of G2 reviews yet, so you can't check us that way; the trial on your own tickets is the evidence we offer instead.
How do you choose a Fini AI alternative?
Start from what you'd be replacing Fini for:
- You want the agent built and run for you, without an enterprise contract: Macha. Setup is done for you on the trial and every plan, and a dedicated success manager comes with about $0.40 per ticket.
- You want outcome pricing from a large vendor: Intercom Fin, especially if you're on Intercom.
- You'd rather configure it yourself across many help desks: eesel AI.
- You're an enterprise with a procurement team and want voice: Decagon, Sierra or Ada. Expect five- or six-figure annual contracts.
- You want fewer vendors: Zendesk AI agents or Gorgias AI Agent, accepting that each stays on its own desk.
Stay with Fini if you need SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS or HIPAA paperwork now, need voice, or handle over 1 million tickets a year and want the money-back guarantee behind your rollout. Those are real advantages, and none of the per-ticket alternatives above has all three. If you're already on Fini, switching is mostly a contract question: plans are billed in advance, so time the move to your renewal, and ask for your knowledge base content and conversation history in an exportable form before you go. Because both Fini and Macha sit on top of your help desk, your tickets and macros stay where they are. Our guide to who can set up AI customer support for you compares agencies, partners and done-for-you vendors if you're weighing outside help.
Where Macha fits
Macha fits teams on Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Front, HubSpot or Intercom who like Fini's promise that someone else builds the agent, but who aren't at the enterprise scale where Fini's dedicated engineer, free pilot and guarantee start. The Macha team analyzes your tickets, builds the knowledge base and the agent, and runs it in safe mode until the drafts are right. That's about $0.40 per ticket from $299/month for 750 tickets, and the price includes a dedicated success manager who handles your changes. You can see the setup on your own tickets with $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best alternatives to Fini AI? Macha, Intercom Fin and eesel AI plug into the help desk you already run; Decagon, Sierra and Ada are enterprise vendors with their own deployment teams; and Zendesk AI agents and Gorgias AI Agent are built into their help desks. Macha is first for teams that want the agent set up and run for them.
How much does Fini AI cost? Fini's pricing page on October 8, 2026 lists $0.89 per resolved ticket on Growth (up to 3,000 tickets a month), $0.69 on Scale (up to 10,000) and $0.49 on Enterprise (unlimited), with implementation included and no seat fees. The plan fee isn't printed, so ask Fini for the monthly commitment.
Does Fini's guarantee apply to smaller teams? No. The terms limit it to new enterprise customers with 1M+ annual tickets who allow at least 100,000 AI-handled interactions in the first 90 days. The 90-day free pilot on the pricing page is also Enterprise only.
Which Fini alternative includes setup? Macha includes done-for-you setup and a dedicated success manager on the trial and every plan, from $299 a month after the trial. Decagon, Sierra and Ada implement through their own teams on enterprise contracts. Intercom Fin, eesel AI and the native agents are mostly self-serve.
Is Macha cheaper than Fini? On Fini's per-resolution rates alone, Macha's about $0.40 per ticket costs less per resolved ticket than Fini Growth ($0.89) above a 45% resolution rate, than Scale ($0.69) above 58% and than Enterprise ($0.49) above 82%. Fini's plan fee isn't published; eesel reports Growth at $3,000 a month billed annually, which would make Fini more expensive per resolved ticket than Macha at every volume up to its 3,000-ticket allowance, at the same resolution rate.
Is Fini the same as Intercom Fin? No. Fini (usefini.com) is an independent startup. Fin is the AI agent from the company formerly called Intercom, now owned by Salesforce.
How we researched this
- Sources and access dates: Fini's pricing page, homepage, guarantee terms, case studies and llms.txt were read and screenshotted on October 8, 2026. fin.ai/pricing, eesel.ai/pricing, gorgias.com/pricing and zendesk.com/pricing were re-read on October 8 with the prices quoted here; their screenshots date from October 5, when the same prices were showing. The Ada form screenshot is from October 8.
- Third-party figures: Fini's Growth fee and its 13 G2 reviews come from eesel's Fini alternatives post (last edited August 19, 2026); G2 blocked our automated reads. Decagon's and Ada's contract figures are from Vendr (read September 25, 2026; Ada's page dated February 2026), Sierra's from CloudTalk (July 3, 2026). None is confirmed by the vendor.
- Reviews: Fini's G2 count, the Seller invite flag and the two user quotes are as reported by eesel (August 19, 2026). The Intercom, Decagon and Sierra G2 figures are our own readings from September 19 to 22, 2026, made for earlier comparison posts. The sandbox screenshot of a Macha internal note is from a September 2026 test with a made-up customer and order, not from a customer account.
- Vendor self-reports: Fini's 90% resolution claim, case-study numbers, 4.9 rating and "live in 14 days", and Fin's outcome definitions, are the vendors' own statements.
- Arithmetic: break-evens are Macha's $0.40 divided by each Fini rate: 0.40 / 0.89 = 44.9%, 0.40 / 0.69 = 58.0%, 0.40 / 0.49 = 81.6%. A team at 3,000 tickets a month handles 3,000 × 12 = 36,000 a year. The cost table's working is under it.
- What we ran and what we didn't: this page compares published pricing, terms and documentation. We didn't run Fini or the other vendors for it. Macha's setup steps are how our team onboards every account. The resolution rates and the 1,500-ticket month are synthetic assumptions, not customer data.
To see the done-for-you setup on your own tickets, start a trial with $50 of free usage (about 125 tickets), no credit card, no time limit; the tiers are on the pricing page.
